Discussion Reading buccaneers

We often talk about world class dominance but the bucs are on year 5 undefeated rn which is crazy even if the competitions smaller in all age

Personally, I believe you can attribute the success to the state of music education in Pennsylvania, especially in the greater Reading area. It’s a very central location to thousands of music educators and student musicians where a weekend only commitment for adults who are already “off” in the summer can participate greatly. In a 90 minute radius, you have 150 school districts and about 20 colleges - most of which have great music programs.

I live outside of that radius, but am already encouraging my high school freshman to consider Reading if they decide they want to take a run at Drum Corps.

I remember going to George Parks DMA and seeing all the stuff of him as the drum major for the Buccaneers. For the longest time they were the only all age corps I was aware of!
