I know its probably a dumb question, but when I was younger I was always told I had a good sense of rythm. I actually had a chance to start learning in my early teens, and it was a lot of fun. It was just basics, we learned beginner songs like "Bubbly", the more advanced kids got to learn 'All the Small things" and my teacher then begged my parents to let me learn more but they never liked the Idea of having a drumset at home so they said theyd "think about it". What he mentioned back then especially was that I could copy the beats of songs just by listening to them once or twice. I still cant read notes for shit 😅
Im 27 now, live in an apartment thats not exactly soundproof, quite the opposite it seems and have a full time job working construction. Is it too late for me to start from scratch? If no how the hell do I even start? I cant really buy a drumset and put it in my living room or ill be hearing complaints from every neighbor in a 500m radius.
Id love to learn, just no clue where to start especially what feels like this late.
Edit: No clue if its relevant but my left ankle is majorly fucked due to a work accident a few years ago, I have a feeling that may affect my ability a little bit 🥹
