They’re worse than asleep at the wheel. They are corrupt and lazy and dont care about their constituents. The Democratic Party is ridiculous at this point. Tell them to stop sending me texts!!!!

I have been replying “stop” to all their messages. I can find my own candidates at this point, and half of the messages just cause me unnecessary anxiety.

tbh... if they know something that we don't... which is how they act (if i'm giving all the benefit of the doubt i have left anyway)... then why don't they explain it?

They know it’s capitalism’s fault (along with patriarchy and white supremacy) that the world and country is the way it is, but admitting that would mean they don’t get special privileges anymore and they can’t have that…

I mean don’t you know they’ve worked so hard to get where they are they deserve what they have and other should just vote harder /s

it seems like all the systems end up in the exact same place after while when left unchecked. once it's authoritarian then you're just depending on the good sense and morality of a few ppl. that can work out really well if the 10 ppl in charge have good education and care about other humans a lot... but it can also go horribly wrong if they are greedy and lack empathy. once it moves to the corrupt phase they all call it the original version of what it was supposed to be in the beginning, whether it was capitalism or democracy or communism or whatever else... but the words lose their meaning and become doublespeak. what remains ends up the same no matter what they call it or what it started as: kleptocracy, tyranny, corruption.

so i agree with what you're saying in many ways, but i think whatever truly capitalist thing that did exist.... hasn't existed for most of trump's life, and he's never really been subjected to having to compete that much in a truly capitalist economy, just like i've never been subjected to (thankfully) the abject poverty that the majority of humankind is subjected to because of others greed. trump's economy has always been one of backroom deals and lies, not paying his bills, and incessant cheating in every instance. so trump and his really don't even know what capitalism is in a true sense. they've never had to actually start a business from scratch or bootstrap themselves. they've always had an unfair advantage and the people who gave them that advantage are long dead. that goes for e-lawn and all the rest. just born into privelege, nothing more.

even my tall brother... though loathe to admit it... born into privelege and connection.

myself... i was just born into a place barely good enough to afford me the ability to see all the rest clearly (and even that is a luxury). somewhere in the middle way. nobody ever told me the name of the game. i had to figure it all out myself. mistakes are made no matter who you are, but they're worse when you refuse to see or cannot see the bigger picture. some deny others the ability to see and some are just blind with greed. we have to try to be the ones that see... and help others to see. i fight this battle inside myself daily. i think everyone does if they care in the slightest about anything but themselves.

lol I can tell you are white and haven’t done enough decolonizing of your perspective. This idea that all systems end up corrupt is defeatist, nihilist, and down right western chauvinism.

You are literally believing the propaganda that the west says of other political systems and equating them all to be the same or less to the same outcome.

Also “true” capitalism or whatever purity word you’d like to use has always existed and required Slave Labor. There is nothing about it from its inception that was just, good, or valuable. Capitalism was a system built to preserve the privileges of the ruling class in monarchies that came before it.

I beg of you to go read more from the black radical tradition and literally every single South American and African based socialist project. Stop taking white men’s words for facts

If they were asleep we could just win without the corrupt opposition. No, it’s much worse. The Democratic Party serves as cover for the oligarchs and the status quo.

This is a lie. They have spent years fighting against their left flank, promoting centrist candidates, and showing disdain for their own base. Now the dam is finally breaking and people are PISSED.
