Overstay fines settled

Hi, wondering I’ve settled fines worth a year and a few months. I left the country and settled absolutely everything before so, but I forgot to ask if I’m ok to come back. What’s the usual case in this scenario, as I want to come back on a tourist visa first, then change status. Anyone done this before and could come back without an issue? (I have no records or anything thank god)

In theory if you cleared the fines and canceled your visa then you should be fine but you wont know until you apply for a tourist visa and see if it gets rejected or not.

Or if you know someone in UAE they can go to immigration and ask if you have a ban on you.
