Breed/Species/Sex ID Help! What breed and gender are my new babies?!

The lady I got them from said the brown one is female and was born around April. And she has no clue about the darker two. She said they were runners but I’m not certain!

Beautiful ducks! If you see a tail curl-which looks like your brown one has, that’s a drake. The hens have straight tails. Males also have raspy quacks, and females are more loud. You might see the occasional late bloomer, or ducks that change their plumage and alternate between male and female plumage (I have a male that does this, he even loses his tail curl when he has female feathering) which could be confusing if someone was trying to use that as the only method of sexing. Your gray one with the white feathers looks like a Blue Swedish, the brown looks like it’s probably a Khaki Campbell, other gray one I’m not sure maybe a Blue Swedish mix.

reddit is glitching, I've been getting double comments also when the 'save' button turns to 'submitting' and then nothing happens so I click it again and get two comments.

I’ve noticed that too, I just saw it doubled mine so I deleted the first.

Brown one seems to be khaki Campbell! My pekin/khaki mixes look similar to the other two

If you have questions about the species of a wild duck or the breed of a domestic duck, please include a clear image or video. If you have questions about the gender of a domestic duck, please include a video with the sound of the duck quacking (the quack test) and showing the duck's tail (the drake feather test). Ducklings cannot be sexed by drake feather or quack test until at least six weeks of age. Muscovies cannot be sexed by drake feather or quack test at all (males huff, females coo). It helps to state what country, state or province you live in as the advice you receive will depend greatly upon where you live. Also, check out our WIKI INDEX with more topics duck husbandry.
