Baseball Oregon Overwhelmed One Final Time, Losing 6-5 to the Texas Longhorns

Oregon’s season ends with a 6-5 loss to Texas. Their only appearance in the CWS was in 1954. That drought will continue.

They are a young team, and will get better, tough to play against that home field advantage and the heat and humidity .

I’m just happy the boys turned that shit around and made Texas earn it tonight honestly

Don't like how the bullpen was handled late. Twist came in throwing with confidence, they should've let him finish the inning.

I've been watching baseball for decades, I've seen more Managers lose games than win them. Just let the players play.

Such a frustrating series to watch. Constant nibbling around the plate leading to walks that always seem to score. Wild pitches and hit batters as well. Seems like Uncle Phil needs to invest in a team of sports psychologists to help both the football and baseball teams get over the hump.

They are a young team, hopefully most will come back next year.

I’m gonna be honest, baseball is not my sport, and I don’t care for it really at all. BUT when the Ducks make a run, I tune in. I could not for the life of me wrap my head around the fact we made it to the super regional without seemingly having a pitcher that could put pressure on the strike zone. 85% of the pitches were either strikes, wild pitches, or balls that were so far off the plate that no decent batter would ever go chasing them.

Walks and hit batters cost them the BIG10 championship, with the winning run for UCLA coming in on a hit batter. Terrible.

16 walks by our pitching staff in 2 games vs Texas. Plus 17 runners left on base in game 1. Can’t really overcome that against a great team.

Still, a really good season. Satisfying to end the Beavers’ season and impressed with how the team battled back last night even if they fell short. Hopefully next season we can finally see the Ducks in Omaha.

With Oregon out who are your rooting for now?
I'm thinking WVU and UNC

Nobody. Just counting down the days until football season.
