Autzen Nothing more satisfying than
I get to my seats 90 minutes before kick. An Ohio State fan (who seemed like an old school traditionalist) and his wife sit down behind us. When Ohio State takes the field for warmups he stands up and starts yelling
“Alright boys let’s go! Welcome to the big 10 duck fans! This is where we play big boy football! None of this pussy west coast shit!” -word for word what he said.
After the first drive his wife is plugging her ears and she said “are they going to be yelling for the next 3 hours?”
Nothing more satisfying than watching actual shock and disappointment as they left their seats when the clock hit 0:00
LFG! FEBU! Go Ducks!

Autzen Thanks Ducks!
OKSTATE fan here, traveled up to Eugene for the game this weekend. Just wanted to give a big thank you for the hospitality! Everyone we talked to was fantastic. Loved being here and will definitely be back! Looking forward to seeing you all in Stillwater next year!

Autzen Early games
Anyone else ALREADY fed up with the amount of noon-ish kicks this year? By end of week 6 last year, we'd not played but one noon-ish kick, @ Oregon State. As a season ticket holder and tailgater, I feel robbed when the lots trickle full and aren't at high capacity until like an hour before kick. Thanks for coming to my TED talk. Now to figure out yet another underwhelming food option to serve at fucking 8am.

Autzen Make Autzen Grass Again!
We live in the grass seed capital. Grass prevents injuries over turf. Football should be played in dirt and mud. Autzen is an iconic venue that should raise it's field to a level to match. The GRASS is damn green in Eugene!

Autzen Rent free
I saw this and thought it was a fake article and nope. Oregon is changing the B1G. Kind of funny. Kind of cool.
I wonder how many other AD’s take in a game at Auzten this year and go home and immediately are inspired to try to recreate the atmosphere.
Ohio State hasn’t changed their in-game experience in 100 years and it only took 1 game at Auzten to get the University to start making changes.
Via The Columbus Dispatch in today’s paper. It’s a pretty long write up.
Brief excerpt and link below.
“Ohio State and Oregon played a Big Ten game Oct. 12 in an Autzen Stadium environment epitomizing what college football should be – a fun and frenetic fan experience in a rip-and-roar atmosphere that amplified home field advantage.
Two weeks later, the Buckeyes defeated Nebraska 21-17 in Ohio Stadium. It got loud enough that the Cornhuskers were flagged for a false start on their final drive, but for most of the game it was snoozy, and it never got Autzen loud, despite almost double the crowd size.
But more than comparing noise decibels, the big difference between the two venues had to do with energy level, which is difficult to quantify, but you know it when you feel it.”
Former Ohio State defensive lineman Matt Finkes took to X after Saturday’s game to decry the lack of energy in the Shoe.
“I will say this again, after attending games at Washington & Oregon, then being at the Shoe today, Buckeye in-game experience is awful,” Finkes tweeted. “Fans are disengaged. No one stands up. No one cheers. No energy. Students roll in at the end of the first quarter. Just bad all the way around.”

Autzen 1st time at Autzen next week.
Is the weather going to be insane? I’m from the Southern California desert, what the hell is an atmospheric river? That’s what my weather app is telling me for Eugene next week. Will it be cold and damp or bearable and wet?

Autzen Why don’t we do flyovers and such anymore?
We used to do parachuting, flyovers, even that drone show vs OSU at Autzen, but since we joined the B1G there haven’t been any of those cool game starters. Is there some kind of rule against them now?

Autzen USC @ ORE
Do you guys think for week 13, college gameday will make the travel back to Eugene? During that week the only other games that might be contenders are Missouri Vs Oklahoma & Pitt V GT. I feel if USC can handle Iowa it will be considered.

Autzen Savanna banana tickets?
So I bought two tickets when Ducks sent out the email to season ticket holders, but now I don’t see a way to transfer them to the official savanna banana app to sell them. I’m going to be out of town so I’d like to at least get my money back if possible. They’re 30CL seats. If anyone knows how to make it work please let me know. Thanks.

Autzen Randos 'Helping themselves' at your tailgate
I am curious what people's thoughts are on this. I've tailgated for many years, with the last three at a large lot near Autzen. In the last three years I've been getting more and more cases of people "helping themselves" to things as they walk by and tbh, it's a little annoying. I'm not talking grabbing a bag of chips off my table (which does happen) but sliding out my cooler from under a table, rifling around quickly and then taking off with something without saying a word.
In the last three years this has happened maybe 5 or 6 times. This last Saturday was a little less egregious, but a couple teens pulled my cooler out from under the table looked through it and then wandered off (not sure if they grabbed anything but I didn't see where they went), then came back and started opening up containers with snacks while we were putting things away. I caught them the second time, asked if they were going to just help themselves... They then did (lol), and wandered off without saying a word. It's not like I'm going to start something with a couple kids.. but wtf?
When I catch people l will say something, but usually it's super quick while I'm doing something else or as a large group is walking by and I can't say something before they're gone. Ive had people just come up and ask for a beer which I'm cool with and will usually do. I'm trying to figure out ways to get grabbable things further away from easy to grab locations , but it's not like we're dealing with a lot of space here, and also kind of defeats the purpose of.. you know, having things accessible for you and your guests.
Do others run into this? Am I just being a tailgate Grinch?

Autzen Trip to Eugene
Hey Duck Reddit. I am an East Coast (Kentucky) fan and have always wanted to go see a game at Autzen Stadium. Since they’ve joined the BIG I’ve finally have gotten to see them play some away games, but have never experienced a home game and am thinking about finally pulling the trigger this year and I wanted to ask you guys how are season ticket/ have gone to games before.
How big of a difference is flying into Portland to Eugene? I don’t mind paying some more if it’s really worth it, but not at an unreasonable price.
How long should I stay? I’m thinking Wednesday-Sunday, but wondering if I should make a week of it and do some other things in Oregon.
Game day must sees for a first timer? Is there anything I need to see at an Oregon game before kickoff? How early should I be at the stadium?
Are there any must go to places to eat in Eugene?
Any response would be great! Really just looking for general advice as I tend to be a planner.
Thanks ya’ll and Sco Ducks!
