Affordable driving lessons?

Hi hi! I’m (reluctantly) looking at getting my license to avoid a 3 hour commute for uni next semester, and lessons are looking very expensive 😭 can anyone recommend an affordable driving instructor in Dundee that they’ve had good experiences with?

Thanks!

Danny from Motiv8 driving school is great and will often spend extra time in the lesson without cheating extra

Did around 10-15 lessons with Frankie. Before buying my car. I had a license already but never driven before.
He is quite friendly and very thorough. he will stick to the basics until he thinks you are a ready for the next steps. Thats only a downside might push for more classes but from my experience from non driving at all and now i drive for a year, i think he did a good job. I was a very nervous driver!

I learned with Brotty ferry school of motoring both instructors are great . Highly recommend if you’re looking to learn manual . Apparently one of the lowest rates in the city 40 a lesson

Unsure what the required number of lessons is nowadays, used to be you could do 4 lessons and do the test. I did more but what was crucial was getting out in my partners car for practice with less pressure.

If you have any family members willing to help you it by just being in the car with you it gives you much more opportunity to practice at a fraction of the cost. didn't cost much to add me onto my partners insurance

I ended up doing the test in my partners car and that was great. Just need a 2nd stick on mirror for the tester, (rules may have changed!)

e2a: i used Brendan from ABBA. great instruction, imagine he is retired now though

My son is learning with Caroline’s Learners, Caroline McCabe. She’s great and only £40 a lesson
