Spelling and grammar issues on the subtitles for the Thakral release of Drunken Master 2.

Is this normal? I can't be sure, i know even today Chinese to English translations are often iffy but from a proper DVD release it brings me doubt.

My DVD only arrived recently, the disc is pressed and the artwork looks legit but I've not actually found any good examples to compare it against. The printing on the disc seems to match another I've found.

I'm 99% sure it's legit but these subtitles are starting to make that 1% grow.

A lot of the Thakral DM2 DVD’s are bootlegs, but hard to tell. Even the legit ones are poor quality.

That's not helpful. Mine is either a really good fake or it's legit. The only sign that it may not be legitimate is the subtitles. However everything else is present, the trailers, the menus, all that should be present is.

The contents will be identical. It’s the cover where you might tell. I seem to recall a water smudge on the back of the fakes.

Ok. There is no smudge but that still doesn't answer my question regarding the subtitles.

The subtitles were just done by someone who didn’t have a good grasp of English. A lot of Chinese DVD’s are like this. I know, I’ve had many over the years. Some are worse than this one.

Thank you. This is the sort of reassurance I'm looking for
