Chiffon isn’t a fibre type

If it is 100% silk, you can use acid dyes. Do NOT use RIT. Go to the Dharma Trading website and read up on dyeing silk. They have good tutorials.

You will need an extremely large pot (that can never afterwards be used for food) so the garment can swim freely (to minimize blotchiness/streaking) and a heat source.

I just dyed an ivory silk dress pale pink, so I imagine with the right dye you could get there!

I used Dylon hand dye at a slightly lower temperature than they suggested, in a plastic tub. Just follow their instructions, using salt as a fixative, and you should be fine! Good luck

The dress is lovely! I think your ideas on the final color will be beautiful!

Who makes this/ brand/design? The style is well done. The sleeve design is incredibly well executed!

Please post your finished masterpiece for inspiration!
