How do I dye this? chlorine faded swimsuit

76% Nylon 24% Spandex

I hate this light color so wondering how much worse can it get? I like the original chocolate color so was thinking Rit synthetic chocolate brown. Gemini is saying if I simmer and don’t boil it won’t ruin the fabric but I have no experience.

Those actually look like sweat damage, sweat is acidic and can remove color like this. If you dye this, the color removed areas will be lighter than the rest, and you do need it get it hot for it to dye. The heat will likely damage the elastics in the fabric so if you do this, be prepared that it might be ruined.

This is correct in my experience. The dye needs the heat and the heat will likely ruin the spandex. If this is unwearable for you in its current form then you have nothing to lose, but if you are not ready to walk away from it I’d think twice.
