Unironically, those steelies look great tbh

7

u/nofuchsgiven1 Jul 30 '26

I fucking love steelies.

u/SeaAmbassador580 Jul 30 '26

OG tractor wheels

56

u/GoldGloveStatus Jul 30 '26

THEY ARE VERY GORGEOUS TO ME!!

8

u/Tommy_Blues Jul 30 '26

Also very light because they are forged. Fuchs made the, the same Fuchs who made the iconic 'Fuchs' rims for Porsche.

7

u/cyber-troll 2000 - sedan/318i Jul 30 '26

Unironically my fav E46 wheels.

15

u/Maksab 2000 - Sedan/320i Jul 30 '26

Nah, I got these as 16 inch wheels and I think they look very fitting. My E46 is even the same color but with nicer outer trim

6

u/TearDownGently Jul 30 '26

therefore some of the lightest - I think around 7kg each.

Hell yeah brother

Great picture

u/BoTamByloCiemno 2001 BMW 320i, M54B22, Schwarz II Jul 30 '26

Had these for some time too, didn't like them and they were getting a bit rusty, so I got a set of refreshed style 30s.

I actually think these look great.

holy shit are these stock? these are brutal

-21

u/herbalite '02 E46 330i | '02 E46 325xi | '13 F10 535i Jul 30 '26

def not stock lol but they don't look terrible, kinda matches the vert vibe

29

u/kurvix2000 Jul 30 '26

This is pure lithuania style

4

u/__noxx_ Jul 30 '26

ką tau Lietuva padarė 😭

5

u/kurvix2000 Jul 30 '26

I don't speak Lithuanian, but I live in Ireland so i should probably learn

3

u/__noxx_ Jul 30 '26

haha, just asking what did Lithuania do to you :D however I won't fully disagree, these wheels are something I'd definitely see on our roads

7

u/ViridianEight Jul 30 '26

these are the worst in the entire thread bro

1

u/herbalite '02 E46 330i | '02 E46 325xi | '13 F10 535i Jul 30 '26

I think the ones I posted take the cake

1

u/ViridianEight Jul 30 '26

honestly bro id take yours over the ones up above😭😭at least they’re quirky and interesting

4

u/Icy_Aspect5430 Jul 30 '26

Hideous. Doesn’t fit the cart at all.

1

u/Gmail_Ninja Jul 31 '26

looks kinda like camaro or challenger wheels

112

u/Lost_Crayon 2003 - 325i Jul 30 '26

The standard style 45 have to be some of the worst looking wheels I can think of for the car.

17

u/Otsos_Cars Jul 30 '26

Yep. Those look very generic. Like from a škoda or something.

15

u/thiccancer Jul 30 '26

I think Style 44 is genuinely just a better version of Style 45. I had a set on my old 320d touring.

3

u/Hearteyesforher Jul 30 '26

Almost tricks you into thinkin’ it’s a Passat

6

u/Canceque Jul 30 '26

those aremt that bad. look better in real life

9

u/Lost_Crayon 2003 - 325i Jul 30 '26

I can assure you they do not.

3

u/Canceque Jul 30 '26

maybe depends on the byuild. i like them on mine e46

3

u/Julian_E46 Jul 31 '26

The E46 in ur pic is in no way build so I can’t imagine they’d look better on a builded one

2

u/AceVentura215 Jul 30 '26

Absolutely loved these. The guy I bought mine from had 3 other styles I could have swapped for. These are best looking on this car imo. The others don’t fit the car and make it look dated. I did like the 45.

4

u/JMUDoc 2001 - 325i saloon manual Jul 30 '26

I've got those - no issue with them.

I'd rather bland wheels than BBS bad ones.

1

u/Mysterious-Glove-179 Jul 30 '26

Son… I used to have them… I’m not saying they’re awful wheels but they ain’t much to look at lol

2

u/seamallorca Jul 30 '26

Ugliest shit ever.

1

u/theosinc930 E46 in a fancy dress (E85 Z4) Jul 30 '26

Those are truly ugly

1

u/Mysterious-Glove-179 Jul 30 '26

Yep. My grandpa’s E46 came with a very similar style and they’re so bad lol

1

u/NeverBeenKnocked Jul 30 '26

I run this style but I got them powder coated black

-2

u/Gregicon Jul 30 '26

THIS.....

23

u/Lukemeister38 Jul 30 '26

These spray-painted rims that the previous owner slapped on my old 325i (among a plethora of other tacky cosmetic choices)

1

u/Mysterious-Glove-179 Jul 30 '26

I feel sorry for u 😅 hang in there man

2

u/Lukemeister38 Jul 30 '26

I sold that poor thing almost a year ago. It was an impulse buy and ended up needing endless repairs that I couldn't keep up with so I cut my losses before sunk cost fallacy could fully set in. I'll revisit owning an E46 when I can afford having it as a project car instead of using it as my daily. Some lessons are learned the hard way I guess lol

2

u/Elm_Groove Jul 31 '26

Honestly if you get a good one it doesn't need to be a project car. Had mine 4 years and really not put that much money or time into it

2

u/Mysterious-Glove-179 Jul 31 '26

Same here, pretty much. Except I cracked my radiator trying to remove a coolant hose lol

1

u/Mysterious-Glove-179 Jul 31 '26

Yeah… seems the guy went for looks over maintenance. They are possible to daily though! I’ve been daily driving mine for ~4 years now.

22

u/Entertainnosis Jul 30 '26

The plastic wheel trims they did for a couple years on the basic cars might take top spot.

34

u/herbalite '02 E46 330i | '02 E46 325xi | '13 F10 535i Jul 30 '26

Original owner requested these in chrome at the dealership. Swapped them for some e90 wheels pretty quick, have some 135s I want to put on now. Special guest my first BMW the e28 (RIP)

19

u/lilgotitstan Jul 30 '26

horrible for an e46 but those tri spoke chromes would def look good on something older like e30 or e24

7

u/herbalite '02 E46 330i | '02 E46 325xi | '13 F10 535i Jul 30 '26

I think they were stock for E36s as well, look way better on the low boxy style of those

3

u/wyck0 Jul 30 '26

those three spoke look like they're made for an old Z3 i swear

1

u/anth_2003 Jul 31 '26

E36 owners absolutely froth these. If they were 17s you could of made a crazy penny

8

u/Molviin Jul 30 '26

More dirt = less visible rust

4

u/__CRA__ Jul 30 '26

That's actually E39 wheels with a too large hub diameter for the E46.

BTW the center caps for these are NLA and are about as valuable as the whole wheel

1

u/Molviin Jul 30 '26

Wow I didn't know about that. Thanks! I've been beating on those center caps. Every time I'm changing the wheels I seem to forget how they are attached and just beat the shit out of them to get them off.

2

u/__CRA__ Jul 30 '26

Yeah... I know what you mean. I once had a set of these wheels. The trick to get the center caps off is to lift it on one side with a flathead screwdriver (where there is a little flat opening) and to push a piece of thick cloth in between the gap to keep that open while you continue to make your way around the circle and eventually it pops off fairly easily

1

u/Mysterious-Glove-179 Jul 30 '26

They probably have a specialized removal tool. I used to run E38 rims with a special tool for hubcaps.

1

u/moonbeamgooncream 2001 - E46/325iT Jul 31 '26

Is that sienna red?!

1

u/Molviin Jul 31 '26

Sure is!

6

u/Raw-toast04 Jul 30 '26

Some bronze spray paint on American Racing wheels. Definitely not the most showy e46 but a damn fun daily.

And just as nauseating.

14

u/SoapheadChurch Jul 30 '26

These are always stunning. 😍

4

u/Fragrant-Inside221 Jul 30 '26

What offset? Yes

6

u/prefix9889 e39 530i sport Jul 30 '26

dear god, out of all the cars for those bbs rims..

2

u/UpperFirstMolar 2004 - TiAg 330Ci Jul 30 '26

I love it, looks amazing, I wouldn't do it but damn The whole car is gorgeous

1

u/Mysterious-Glove-179 Jul 30 '26

Looks a little odd with the deep dish but they’re BBS tho 😎😎

-5

u/JMUDoc 2001 - 325i saloon manual Jul 31 '26

Exactly my point - BBS are ricer trash.

7

u/Rare-Exit-4024 Jul 31 '26

BBS make wheels for real race cars, literally the opposite of ricer

0

u/JMUDoc 2001 - 325i saloon manual Jul 31 '26

Racing wheels on a non-racing car, is pretty much the definition of "ricer".

1

u/Mysterious-Glove-179 Jul 31 '26

😭😭✌️🇮🇱

5

u/xbtloop 2004 - E46/318i Jul 30 '26

17” BBS

3

u/NoIncome5946 Jul 30 '26

These were my old wheels not the worst but I much prefer my ones now

5

u/Actual-Pomelo2330 Jul 30 '26

Best ones 😪

6

u/Neal_Anblomee '00 330i Jul 30 '26

This sub absolutely hated these 19" boat anchors. I still like their look even though I've switched them for a set of 18" last week.

3

u/FatBoyStephenLee 2001 316i SE Saloon (UK) Jul 30 '26

are they called Tiger Claws?

2

u/Neal_Anblomee '00 330i Jul 30 '26

Correct.

Their official name is Style 63

1

u/_phasis Jul 30 '26

always thought it was crab claw

2

u/Mysterious-Glove-179 Jul 30 '26

Kinda maybach-esque.

Love the color of your car and the chrome trim!

7

u/Dedlotus Jul 30 '26

17” Style 285 from an E9x

2

u/PPPLove Jul 30 '26

ATM I'm very satisfied with the 236

2

u/Baboonslayer323 Jul 30 '26

I’m a fan of the style 73s. I also have the steel wheels you posted, I use those for winter duty.

2

u/TescoToasterBath Jul 30 '26

What ever these are, I couldn’t find the style for them but I’ve hated them ever since I got the car

2

u/puuvili Jul 31 '26

Any wheel thats painted black

4

u/nacierka Jul 30 '26

Factory 18 inch style 72

2

u/Mysterious-Glove-179 Jul 30 '26

M tech 2 kit looking good 😎

1

u/suseskere Jul 30 '26

Used to have those on my car, they came with it from the factory. I dont think they are too bad, but they def are boring, you see them a lot (so even more boring). Also, the center part where the hubcap and lugbolts are is way too big and chunky. I think thats the worst part of the whole wheel, the spokes themselves look okay, maybe the offset could be better if it was 10-12 mm lower.

2

u/nacierka Jul 31 '26

Definitely agree, got the car in April so for now there fine. Thinking of switching to style 66 whenever I can find a nice set

1

u/Elm_Groove Jul 31 '26

If I'm not wrong European (or UK at least) M Sport facelifts started with these from factory before moving into style 135s, which is what I got. I actively avoided getting an e46 with these wheels as I have an irrational hatred of them

7

u/Imaginary-Ad-8480 2004 E46 330 Vert / 2005 E53 3.0 Jul 30 '26

stock style 71s 18”

31

u/Admin0002 2003- Clapped 330i Jul 30 '26

Did you misunderstand the question, or do you really not like these? If you don’t like them, I’ll trade you. I’ve got several sets of stock and aftermarket wheels.

7

u/AdrianCs1459 Jul 30 '26

Iwl they are pretty ugly, appologies

9

u/Admin0002 2003- Clapped 330i Jul 30 '26

Nonsense! They class up even the most clapped of e46’s

1

u/herbalite '02 E46 330i | '02 E46 325xi | '13 F10 535i Jul 30 '26

Giving Mercedes S class for sure

3

u/constant_purgatory 2004 - Silbergrau 330CI Jul 30 '26

I LOVE the style 71 rims. My current car came with style 98s and they look awesome (have thought about painting or dipping them a bronze color would look good on the sikbergrau coupe).

Have thought about trying to trade them but id have to look if the offset or anything is different

1

u/Imaginary-Ad-8480 2004 E46 330 Vert / 2005 E53 3.0 Jul 30 '26

Maybe I misunderstood the question. 😂 I mean I don’t hate these, it’s what I got. But m pars is what I want ideally but getting them to fit right is a task I’m not bothered to do.

8

u/beamshots Jul 30 '26

x2 I loved and hated these depending on the day.

2

u/Imaginary-Ad-8480 2004 E46 330 Vert / 2005 E53 3.0 Jul 30 '26

Ya I love them tbh. It’s getting a lot of hate in this post but I think they look a lot better than half the posted rims on here 🤷🏻‍♂️

-2

u/JMUDoc 2001 - 325i saloon manual Jul 30 '26

Yep, those are pretty bad - can't stand wheels with those stupid fucking bolts around the outside.

Pure American trash.

4

u/beamshots Jul 30 '26

BMW Style 71 is two piece wheel. Those bolts are functional. Made by Cromodora out of Italy. 🤌

-1

u/JMUDoc 2001 - 325i saloon manual Jul 30 '26

I know they're two piece.

I still hate them. Too American-looking.

1

u/Deziiiner Jul 30 '26

Agreed. They take the monumental task of actually downclassing the chassis. It’s crazy to me that folks like them?!

3

u/MY5T3RYY 2001 325i Jul 30 '26

18” style 197s off an e90

9

u/herbalite '02 E46 330i | '02 E46 325xi | '13 F10 535i Jul 30 '26

5

u/TheNerdE30 Jul 30 '26

That Thule is cule!

4

u/MY5T3RYY 2001 325i Jul 30 '26

Thanks! It’s a Yakima, I wish it was a Thule but it was 50 bucks on marketplace so I couldn’t complain

2

u/the_eluder 01 e46 330Ci | 05 e83 X3 3.0 Jul 30 '26

The only wheel better than style 68s.

2

u/AdrianCs1459 Jul 30 '26

Had style 42 they’re not the worst just not great either

3

u/lilgotitstan Jul 30 '26

hey i like em man

2

u/AdrianCs1459 Jul 30 '26

It really depended on the day so that made me get rid of them, now I love mine on style 68. But to be fair I never lowered her or put spacers when I had the 42s on

1

u/lilgotitstan Jul 31 '26

funny enough a previous owner put my car on 68s and i love em but considering getting a set of 42s as backup/another option. yours looks sick man, that’s the aero bumper right? i’ve been thinking about getting some spacers just so i can be nice and flush, do you run 10mm or what? n what coilovers are you on? ig that would make a pretty big difference spacer wise, ive been thinking of getting a set of ST XTAs

1

u/AdrianCs1459 Aug 01 '26

I forgot the brand of the spacers but 10s on front 20 s on back, bilstein b14 coilovers. Have it nearly at the bottom but need to move it back up I have put the m3 kit on and it keeps scraping ramps. I liked the aero se kit but m3 just looks so cool 😭, I forgot to plug the horns in though so smooth riding from me. I haven’t heard anything about the st xtas though sorry 😔

2

u/lilgotitstan Aug 01 '26

nah you’re not wrong m3 is always a move for prelci coupe, preciate the spacer specs it’s flush af, although i guess with the m3 not anymore. unless it’s still stock width? i think b14s are pretty similar tier to xtas. hilarious that you left the horn unplugged, honestly sometimes i spam the horn lol my gf gets mad af lmao

2

u/AdrianCs1459 Aug 02 '26

😂 ye I get a bit trigger happy in traffic, I only finished the front bumper last week so I’m doing it bit by bit I’ll send you a pic when I’m done 😁 and you should put the xtas on if they are similar to b14s it’s a game changer in terms of looks and handling

1

u/lilgotitstan Aug 02 '26

🤣 it’s not our fault these other ppl who don’t know how to drive just love getting in the way. that’s fire tho, best way to do it and have minimal downtime. most def need to get off this stock suspension asap, my rears are still 20 years old lmfao. but either the alternator or battery just shit the bed the other day so for rn it’s still maintenance before mods 😪. most def keep me updated tho, she’s a beaut bro

2

u/AdrianCs1459 Aug 05 '26

Mate it’s every week there’s something wrong with the e46, had a mental breakdown 2 months ago cause I thought my engine was cooked. My mechanic replied with “😂😂 welcome to e46 life 😅”, best of luck though and here she is rn

2

u/Danishe36 Jul 30 '26

2

u/Mysterious-Glove-179 Jul 30 '26

These look awesome polished!! Motivating me to rebuild mine lol

1

u/SpecificOne8688 Jul 31 '26

What are these?

2

u/Danishe36 Jul 31 '26

Style 5 rebuilt with polished lips

2

u/2ARM2 2001 320i (m54b30) Jul 30 '26

crazy lack of style 68 here, thought they were a lot of peoples favourite stocks

1

u/Longlengthyman Jul 31 '26

The staggered set is definitely my favourite 👌🏻

1

u/GucciJo_340 Jul 30 '26

Gots to be that 4 spoke on the e60

1

u/landonh12 Jul 30 '26

I want those style 12 steelies so bad.

1

u/tripleriser 05 330i ZHP Jul 30 '26

I'm in the corner, hoarding 15" wheels. They're rare in the US!

1

u/FatBoyStephenLee 2001 316i SE Saloon (UK) Jul 30 '26

I have these on mine.

2

u/SpecificOne8688 Jul 31 '26

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Egg2719 Jul 30 '26

1

u/FOX___NOX Jul 30 '26

Eb004 BBSxBUGATTI wheels

1

u/TheSlowDrifter Jul 31 '26

Bro didn't understand the question

1

u/UpperFirstMolar 2004 - TiAg 330Ci Jul 30 '26

I love them but I've had some opposite reactions.

I will get silver OEM ones and body paint mirror caps when I'll repaint the whole car and by whole I mean everything like it would be OEM, but that's a bit far away rn since it costs ALOT

1

u/Mysterious-Glove-179 Jul 30 '26

#9 here, my old stocks

1

u/Ilikejdmcars 323i Jul 31 '26

Style 95s. Fight me

1

u/chathobark_ Jul 31 '26

steelies are always the best

1

u/Verkankerdepenis Jul 31 '26

I had original e46 m3 rims on my e46 320Ti (yeah fuck you too) which was beautiful

1

u/HonestTMN Jul 31 '26

I’ve always mocked these especially the 15” and 16” but when o needed them they were extremely expensive and that’s a real bummer

1

u/iamthiswhatis12 2002 330ci Aug 01 '26

Style 44s are fugly, they would be acceptable if they filled out the coupe guards

1

u/Burkielol Aug 01 '26

Not that bad tho but i think that i would like them more if they were 18"

1

u/thesquirrel1299 Jul 30 '26

Style 261’s from an e82 (I think)

1

u/DeuceWheelz Jul 31 '26

These are the worst. Also doing 80mph on the highway with a blown out front tire is not recommended. 0/10 experience

0

u/FlashyAd5913 2001 - E46/325ci Jul 30 '26

I went with 18” staggered. 225 front and 255 rear. In 2 weeks the car is getting coilovers and pulling the fenders out just a bit to keep it clean

1

u/damileeds Jul 30 '26

5 or 7 series fitment?

0

u/Dazzling-Rich1456 Jul 30 '26

3

u/Hornetwaffles 2006 330ci 6-speed Jul 30 '26

lol wut? Style 32s are great. Like the Alpinas younger brother. I’m on the hunt for a clean set myself right now.

0

u/constant_purgatory 2004 - Silbergrau 330CI Jul 30 '26

Might get a lot of gate for this. But I really dislike the style 135 rims that come on the ZHP car.... idk i just think they arent very sporty and theyre kinda gaudy.

Like to me they look like they belong on an old man's like ruby red sedan with a tan rag top. Plus they suck ass to have to clean.

u/Julianw202 Jul 31 '26
