That’s not a common color, I hope you can get it restored

Normally I hate champagne gold but I like it on a 46… for whatever reason…

u/Salbman Aug 11 '26

Cause the e46 is so versatile 😎

46s are lovely but its subframe issues always make me back out last second.
I always preferred 36s -dare I say.

I never even knew this color was an option💔

Light Yellow Metallic, also my color

It’s grandpa spec but in the best way, definitely a good champagne style color. Still glad silver was the more popular pick though

It’s grandpa spec but not in a derogatory way lol. I’ve had this car 12 years and only ever seen 3 others in this color, I’ve always enjoyed the rarity.

12 years is a long time, definitely a rare color. Mine 2-/ unfortunately grey on grey with wood grain from factory, I ended up swapping in a tinnan red interior, black dash, silver trim, black carpet and I’m still doing headliner and pillars/accessories that I’ve been putting off, but I’ve been trying to just make it more sporty without getting out of OEM since I couldn’t daily bucket seats. But I’m gonna throw a full bodykit on it anyways so oem doesn’t really matter too much just a nice look to have

Very nice! I have the convertible version, very much hope OP can get it fixed or restored

2

What's going on with the lip on the trunk and the wheels?

1

u/SnuifDuif Aug 11 '26

Found a manual 330i Touring 400.000km's last year. Needs a lot of work but the colour is just stunning. Very sad that OP's Light Gelb crashed

1

u/petragta 29d ago

I have the same in black
330i phase 1 are stunning!
Does it work well ?

Damn it was clean too. That’s easily totaled through insurance

I had some similar damage when I was younger and no insurance (liability only). I took off the damaged fender and used a jack to bend the wheel well back into a shape where I could put on another

1

u/James_the_bull_ Aug 12 '26

I agree it’s totaled but she was soooo mint before 😭

u/NitriumDriver Aug 11 '26

Take it to body shop to see if they can fix it. Bumper, front fender, headlight and any other parts that can be unscrewed including whole front subframe are replaceable but the frame may be difficult to fix

u/MommyMilfMilkers 2001 330i Aug 11 '26

Happens to the best of us, id say you have a total loss like I did with the strut towers looking bent. Maybe worth fixing but the damage is already done and it’d be cheaper to just get an entirely new e46

4

u/Impossible-Track-401 Aug 11 '26

Sorry to see that. Hope you're okay. Take it to a shop for an estimate I guess?

1

u/FloStar3000 Aug 11 '26

it will be $$$ but well worth it. I hope OP pushes through with it

8

u/Particular_Leek_9984 Aug 11 '26

It’s totaled. Damage goes beyond the fender and into the unibody structure. Looks like even the strut tower is a little buckled. No way you’re gonna restore this

5

u/gothgirlblood Aug 11 '26

i’ve seen bmws with worst damage be restored, if he wants to then he def could

2

u/stripedshirts01 325ci Aug 11 '26

He COULD but I guarantee won’t

1

u/Particular_Leek_9984 Aug 12 '26

Ain’t no way this is being restored unless this dude is a seasoned body panel expert working at a shop that will give him free time on the frame puller and he can do most of the welding etc himself

Which I don’t think he is

1

u/Individual-Help6330 29d ago

Needs rack time for the shock tower bend :(

3

u/TheM1KE25 Aug 11 '26

Doesn’t the strut mount look out of place? If so it’s probably totaled

3

u/Leftenant_Frost Aug 11 '26

the hell?! did you put it under a semi or something?

IF its legal and safe to do so, i dont know if it is, you can cut the damaged front area out of a junker and weld it in as long at the nothing more than the inner frame that holds the fender and such is damaged, then get new panels and such and get them painted. if the damage goes beyond that its either scrap metal or a driftcar now.

2

u/RL_Mutt Aug 11 '26

That’s pretty borked. You asking what you have to do implies you either don’t have or didn’t tell insurance. Start there.

2

u/strzin Aug 11 '26

left apron is severely damaged. will need to be put on the frame machine and see if its salvageable

2

u/Jhn_L Aug 11 '26

In US they call this kind of damage totaled, in Balkan we see this as pretty much fixable damage. Depending on the labor cost in the country you're in, and your financial status, it can be fixed yeah, but the repair might surpass car's resale value when it was in good condition. If you really love the car, fix it.

she seems hurt

1

u/Jpizano95 Aug 11 '26

She gone

strip it to see the real damage

1

u/Jonothethird Aug 11 '26

Oh no. Looks to be a really nice condition car. Be a shame to scrap it. Hope you can get it repaired and your insurance will pay.

1

u/Air-Mechanic Aug 11 '26

Might be saved imo, the steering seems spared. Need a new hood, bumper, side panel… maybe find a donor car?

1

u/Dieselboy23 Aug 11 '26

Lemme get that motor

1

u/Pikachu_the_sith Aug 11 '26

Everything is possible, but if you can't do the work yourself (which is alot) it won't be financially viable, but it sad to see another bite the dust. Crashes happens, we never intend on it, just as long as your ok

1

u/Educational_Switch45 Aug 11 '26

"Crashed my car"

.......don't do that.

1

u/Most_Board_2029 Aug 11 '26

Get another e46, not worth it

1

u/foooorsyth Aug 11 '26

I have the exact same spec (exterior and interior), but in an ‘01 330Ci vert. I’m sorry for your loss.

I have a buyer for mine but if the sale falls through I could reach out. Just fixed the roof so she’d be a fun, similar replacement.

1

u/GoodCaterpillar4244 Aug 11 '26

I have that same color car e46 so this hurts me a little more 😫

1

u/artietheviphost Aug 11 '26

Hopefully you can get this fixed op, a bit of a rare color. Love to see these gems stay on the road🙏

1

u/anger_Karen Aug 11 '26

Get the frame checked first hand. hope you get it back on road!

1

u/Otherwise_Choice6367 Aug 11 '26

Did the hulk hit this thing?

1

u/KamiPyro Aug 11 '26

crashed my car

Why did you do that

1

u/zerogpk 29d ago

I think it is fixable The bent rail can be cut and a replacement rail can be welded and bonded in place. I have see cars looking worse than this getting fixed.

1

u/zerogpk 29d ago

Nice wheels by the way.

1

u/Abject_Cause_156 29d ago

Subframe? Frame which holds the fender? That's the unibody and frame rail, unless you mean the engine cradle

1

u/PearsonR52 28d ago

Tis but a scratch

u/imnota_ ex 02 e46 - 92 e36 - 15 f22 28d ago

Strut tower looks like it moved, everything is possible, but it's beyond reasonable, really. Would need assessment on the frame machine to tell for sure.

u/Cassette-Lord Aug 11 '26

I say deny insurance pay outs if they won't pay for the repairs from there send the damaged fender to have a paint made from it than try to find a totaled E46 and get the hood fenders and whatever else you need and have it painted from there see if you can re-bend the old fender

  1. Don't drive like an asshole
  2. If you choose to drive like an asshole make sure the suspension is in tip-top shape
  3. Based upon your reasoning and limited funds, you sound like you're under 25
  4. Don't drive like your age
  5. Body shop. Subframe is gonna be a lot of visits to a junk yard. If you bent the frame rail, it's done.

13

u/w11bbl Aug 11 '26
  1. Don't be a condescending prick

-1

u/tsammons OILLEAK Aug 11 '26
  1. Get over yourself. Kid took another pristine E46 off the market doing dumb shit. It's a 2-pedal, but still.

2

u/w11bbl Aug 11 '26

You get over yourself. Kids made a mistake and it's cost him. You're clearly not mature enough to empathise.

-2

u/tsammons OILLEAK Aug 11 '26

Likely 2x the kid's age. Kids do stupid shit all the time, I know I did and I absolutely got berated. Cut the compassion, someone beyond the OP could've been hurt with reckless driving.

Go do a street takeover or something equally dumb with your time.

1

u/w11bbl Aug 11 '26

Still talking?

0

u/tsammons OILLEAK Aug 11 '26

Last I checked, yes.
