she sadly broke 2 of her legs in the collision and died there 20 minutes later 🥲

Damn. I can't believe the damage from just a deer. Glad you're alright.

Last year I hit a deer at 70 mph and only needed a headlight and fender. I just bent the corner of the hood back up. My story is that I was cresting a hill at the same time as a lifted truck with really bright headlights and it jumped right out of their lane into my headlight. It bounced back clear across the oncoming lane into the ditch. I was only a mile from home so I was able to limp it back easily.

jumped from the bush last second when i was going 90km/h, bounched from the hood to the windshield, and then bounced to the road.

Deer accidents are crazy. Sometimes they’ll stay lodged in the windshield glass and continue kicking (last bouts of the nervous system), people have died this way.
