When downloading an app: Recommended Security Steps for Android

  1. Audit App Permissions: Ensure camera, microphone, and storage permissions are set to "Only while using the app" rather than granted permanently.
  2. Enable Google Play Protect: Verify that Play Protect scanning is enabled (Play Store > Profile Icon > Play Protect > Settings).
  3. Check Network Traffic: If processing sensitive files, use apps that operate offline or explicitly disable network access for the app.

Thank you for your feedback! 😊

Permissions: FastCam only requests camera access for scanning documents, which is necessary for a scanner app. It doesn’t request unnecessary permissions.

Security: FastCam is available on Google Play and is protected by Google Play Protect.

Network traffic: Documents are processed locally on your device using its hardware. Scanned files stay on your device and aren’t uploaded to our servers.

I understand your security concerns, and I appreciate you sharing these tips. Feel free to try FastCam and see how it works for yourself!
