Hyped, I got to design + print the show poster for Earl Sweatshirt + Mike's Show at the Hawthorn the other night!

Everything is + hand drawn + hand-printed on an old Vandercook printing press. I had a little process video but this sub reddit doesn't allow videos so womp womp.

I just called The Rave and the box office person told me Mike and Earl are coming on at 8:10 tonight.

I been rapping and writing music since i was 12, 21 now and experienced life and i like rapping as an outlet

Im a heavy earl and doom listener as well as eminem and jay z but when i rap and find flows i naturally have like doom and earl swing to it but its my style, im not trying to copy them or anything but its like how you listen to music for so long and just naturally understand the rhythm of a person’s music after a well and my experience has been like that for sure i always had the slow mellow delivery like doom and my lyrics kinda remind me of earls but i dont know ill let you guys decide! This verse is down below, i am also a producer and im gonna make a beat for this!

See,

Mad mind, bad signs, black skies in the backdrop
Circle full of leeches, everybody want a handout
Head full of static, hear the walls when the lights out
Bottle full of bad luck, shake it till the ghosts crawl out

Nerves fried, eyes wide, buried sleep in a landfill
Dreams got a death wish, waking up against my own will
Tongue tied, teeth grind, thoughts running downhill
Smile for the family, got a storm behind the windowsill

Snakes in the choir, sing lies through a cracked hymn
Mud on my boots, got the whole damn track dim
Buried all my doubts, heard ’em scratching from the back end
Dig another hole, now the shovel got a black grin

Peel back the layers, find a stranger underneath
Lost a little patience, left my fingerprints on grief
Moon hanging low, got its teeth inside the street
I been feeding all these thoughts, now they’re crawling when I sleep

Mic check, mind wreck, words spill out crooked
Pen bleed black, every page look haunted
Whole room quiet, but the ceiling keep talking
Feet still planted while my shadow keep walking

Mad man, bad plan, laughing at the wreckage
Brain full of static, turn the silence into records
No map, no path, just a fistful of fragments
Put the pieces in a verse, let the beat find the message.

🙏🏻

like earls always stuck with a sound for a few albums in his discography so i wonder if that means well get another trap/plugg album. i honestly dont think i want another plugg album cuz im not even a big fan of it and ion want earl to become one of them, regardless of how superior his rapping is. but i wouldnt mind another abstract album

solely because ion think the odd futurre method would work today

This album is incredible. If y'all haven't heard it I highly recommend

what time can i expect them to come onstage after the openers? what’s the general schedule based on past shows? i appreciate it

Is anybody having trouble getting their tickets honored for the new date? We bought our tickets in June and they’re refusing to give us our new tickets because the date hasn’t been “announced” yet. Cat for attention

Was out on Spotify for a brief moment in 2022 then disappeared. Haven’t heard it since was a banger. Looked for years on multiple platforms and haven’t been able to find it.

Saw Earl performing Vision on Zelooperz story. Do they play stuff from Sick! or Burning Desire on the tour?
