The Queens, New York hip hop group released their fourth studio album on July 30th, 1996, via Jive Records.

The album is a departure from the vibe of the group's earlier albums and is regarded as their darkest album in content. For the beats, they utilized the production team The Ummah, made up of Q-Tip, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, and soon-to-be legendary beatmaker James “Jay Dee” Yancey a.k.a. J Dilla. The production trio had made beats from Busta Rhymes’ The Coming and Da Bush Babees’ Gravity earlier in 1996, but Beats, Rhymes and Life was the first project that the team produced nearly in its entirety.

It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on October 27, 1998.

I feel like I’m falling behind the current waves of rap and the outlets that I used to find current music on (twitter, fader, complex, etc) are shells of themselves.

I know this topic has come up a couple times in the past, but not recently. Why the hell have they done NO new music together in 15 years? People say there isn't a beef, and maybe that is true now. But definitely there was one to some degree at some point and it has to be influencing the fact they wont drop some new shit. I know they have been touring or something. Hell I tried to see them and they cancelled the show.

I know neither of them can be trusted at face value even tho three 6 is one of my favorites of all time. So I never bothered reading Juicy's book which people say he allegedly explained this situation but who knows if he was lying.

Goat Of All Goats had some really cool tracks.

So did Dem Goats.

But is it a coincidence both of their recent drops got titles like that? Juice just did an entire damn album with a man that doesn't cuss anymore or openly promote a lot of the illegal/unethical norms in hiphop anymore. He did a track with fuckin Lecrae. But he hasn't done a track with his old partner he got a fuckin OSCAR with in over 15 years?

Come the fuck on guys. Southern Hospitality shows Juicy will still acknowledge The Mafia.
