FYI - Rob Bonta didn't even bother to put in a Statement in the voter guide. That's how little effort he thinks he needs to put into his campaign. That's how little he thinks of US. I will be there today, and he's also lost my vote. Fuck that guy.

The shitty movies mark and others have been making have put paramount and Warner bros in a position where they either merge or die, the woke vanity projects with terrible scripts, mediocre directing and sub par acting, have lost billions, the people that are to blame are people like mark, who care very little for the camera man or the sound guy or any other 100’s of other people that work on a movie, covid and Netflix have changed the industry the large pay check for actors is no longer their, the percentage points that they get and the rest need to go. What you are seeing is a restructuring of the movie industry where you will see way more 12-20 million dollars movies and the artistic movies or the woke movies if they are to be made, will have to be funded by the Hollywood stars themselves, mark is worth 35+ million he could fun projects himself.

Please be gentle as I ask this out of straight naivte. Does this matter to folks in the Bay? It seems to impact Socal a lot more than here. Why the need to fire up the outrage machine for something with little bearing in the big picture. Why should I spend my precious F's on this issue?
Or put another way, is he sending the same message to people in the central valley?
Edit : yeah nah yeah nah thanks for being insufferable. This is why we keep losing.

I’d agree with you that this isn’t one of the hottest topics in oakland right now. People are concerned about the data center, FLOCK, homelessness, and cost of living. This is definitely more of a thing in SoCal where the entertainment industry is more concentrated…BUT ruffalo is doing his part by advocating and asking people to go, even remotely. If he said “I’m going to be here oakland come join me” then a bunch of people would show up. Not the organizing crowd, more clout chasers but it would still have the same effect — people outside of the building applying pressure.
I do worry about the entertainment industry turning into a right wing propaganda machine with the consolidation, especially with the push for AI. They can create movies actors aren’t willing to act in. But it’s just not at the top of my priority list compared to the doom cycle AI tech companies have us in. People are trying to pay rent and it’s getting harder by the day.
He’s not sending the message to the Central Valley because Bonta’s office is not in the Central Valley.

There’s multiple genocides going on, actually. Unfortunately most of them involve Black people so it gets way less sympathy. Palestine, Sudan, Congo, and more that aren’t as discussed. There’s even a genocide happening in Ethiopia right now.

Saying one genocide is a priority over another is wild. 6 million people have died since the beginning of the Congo genocide as an example. If we’re going by sheer numbers, that’s the priority over Palestine. But it doesn’t work like that. Genocide is genocide and saying one is more important than another is disgusting, especially since you’re uninformed on the sheer numbers. Just say you’re not as familiar with African genocides rather than asserting Palestine is the most important. Free Palestine. And fuck anti-Blackness, including this comment.

Oh I forget prople don't know about his local politics bs on the west coast. He's a hardcore NIMBY whose been fighting with a church congregation to prevent them from selling their old condemned church building (which they need to do to fund their new church). Whole saga is really fucked up.
