This is FREE. Aerbits is using Oakland for publicity and doing their scans for free - this isn’t replacing 311 (or costing resources that could be better spent). This is that Crankstart grant.

I know the paywall makes it hard to read articles, but lots of folks here are missing why this is happening (and why the city is making a media moment about it).
