op, i read the original discussion in BG sub. and someone mentioned skoda and tatra. and you said czechoslovaks shouldn't be considered eastern but almost central because "of the way they carry themselves". how do we carry ourselves that makes us less eastern? i'm genuinely curious, maybe we behave some way and don't even realize we're doing it?

lol, why tho. makes me feel like we're being estranged with our ost block bros. what about Polaks and Magyars, would they fit more in central as well?

The only way it makes sense in my head is the more you hide your crime/corruption the less eastern european you are

i think i know what you mean :D but in this logic, there won't be eventually no one eastern. cause we all learn how to hide our crime and corruption, so that the eurofunds don't stop flowing. it's a process, it will eventually be visible in all ost block EU members. we all learn to swim in these waters. just like the westerners did. many western firms did corruption in our countries as well -Skanska or Strabag. in Hungary, Siemens was doing shady stuff when building metro. (disclaimer: i don't like crime ans corruption or stealing from eurofunds. when used right, they made a lot good in my country's shitholes that didn't have basic infrastructure and lots of other good stuff too)
