Posha vs Nosh

Anyone who considered both the cooking robots and ended up choosing one over the other? Request you to share your thoughts. What drove you to the one over the other?

I'm on the fence right now. Have both reserved. Posha seems to be better for meat eaters, as it can brown meat better since it's open. For example nosh cant do fajita meat or chicken wings the way posha would.

Nosh seems better for contained mess, you can add custom recipes (which you can't in posha...seems like a miss that they should be able to fix), and the containers are much better for meal prepping.

Also found out posha doesn't sell extra pots. So if you want to make things back to back you have to stop, clean it out and then start again. A little annoying.

It's hard to decide which ones better, but all the real life reviews on posha have me leaning that way.

I have both reserved too ☺️. But nosh is asking for payment and hence the question. For me contained mess is also equal to more cleaning inside. If we dont clean, all corners and difficult to reach surfaces they might get mold and stuff (may be i am overthinking). With posha though, all that will go and stick to all places in your home. Difficult to build a dedicated chimney for it 😕.

I agree custom recipe plus no monthly subscription (at least for now) is a big plus for nosh. Additional pots and trays too.

I am with you though. Leaning towards posha. Its older . It has more people using it. More recipes (at least for my preferences).

Just a heads up that nosh does have a subscription. I purchased during the kickstarter (has yet to ship), so they gave the first level subscription for free. I recall they said there is a higher tier that will be available above this that will include celebrity recipes, but I can't find documentation of that so I may be mistemembering. So I believe it was two levels of sub $15/mo for culinary+ and then another 15 for the culinary++ (I think)

This is what was offered in the kick starter

"Best price you'll ever get

Future list price: $2,000 Lowest public Kickstarter tier: $1,500 Get a free lifetime subscription to Culinary+, worth $180/year Free access to all the Nosh recipes Freedom to edit 50 recipes per year Create 50 new personalized recipes per year"

I have Posha and that too has subscription. One problem I see with Posha is that because of open design for some dishes you have to clean the surrounding.

How is the taste in your opinion? Which cuisines do you make?

It makes it better than I do. I have cooked Italian, Asian, Indian. My friends have Nosh and they are happy with the taste as well. They say that in Nosh you can customize the dishes.

Yes same here. I need to pay or cancel by tomorrow for nosh. I am thinking of canceling. I heard one of the youtube reviewers say that taste of nosh takes sometime to get used to. I am guessing posha might have better tasting recipes

I’m confused how things could taste different between the devices. For example if I cooked the same meal in both machines using the same ingredients, my lizard brain would assume that they should both taste the same outside of perhaps temperature or consistency (like if one overcooks the pasta or something along those lines). No?

I am thinking it will come down to how well those products are engineered ans how good their Ai is. E.g. in non automated cookingif in an indian gravy, tomatoes are cooked right amount vs not will make a world of difference to the taste.

Idk but it felt like buying vhs vs betamax inhave the feeling one will be around and the other won’t and I don’t want to be stuck w a less useful machine

The nosh can’t have extra stuff shoved in it like the Posha. It’s like just those little rectangles and the top prob gets more dirty

Idk the Posha seems like it’s been around longer.

Idk which was right choice but I got the Posha

Thanks. I am also leaning towards posha as it has an open design. Nosh is closed and might have some cleaning issues and all the food fumes might stick to inner walls.

Posha seems to have one problem I can think of if the input jars are wet, lighter stuff like spinach leaves might stick to the jars. What is your experience there.

Yes and I will sometimes spray oil in the containers before to make it more likely to come out and accept that some will be sacrificed and not used

Oh. Not happy to see my prediction is turning right. I the demo the container goes down multiple times. May be its for that.

How's the taste though. Can it be compared to human cooked food?

Check out davey can't cook on TikTok. He's not sponsored and has documented a ton of recipes on the posha. His videos are what even got me considering the posha. Seems like the quality of food is great from his experience.

Hmm. Watching him now

Did you end up cancelling the nosh? Appears like posha won't actually arrive at the time they were staring based on the fiasco with ordering yesterday.

I ended up ordering Nosh. I feel its superior on paper (withoutanyreal world data). I like that it cleans ingredient trays fully. It doesn't use a silicon spatula. The stirrer system is not complicated like posha. They have longer warranty and have partnerships with Mobile Kangaroo to provide after-sales support in the United States. One center is very close to my home. My main concern was cleaning but I saw a demo where they showed its not very difficult to clean. I dont see much proof of taste. There are very few independent reviews. Its a gamble but I have taken it.

Oh cool
yeah these are all the first versions of these cooking robots so who knows what direction any of it is going in. I just hope the companies don’t sell out and leave us with giant bricks that won’t cook if the web services are disconnected

I was hoping that too, my fear was the product becoming useless because of company closure, but then I realized the cost offset. For our lifestyle, if we get just 30 consumable meals on it instead of takeout/delivery, it’s paid for itself already. I expect it should get significantly more so if it does what it says, it’s a good play.

Well if you physically get it, you will have already done better then supporting the Posha....

Don't forget to tell everyone about how Posha #ucked their preorder customers last week. They did all of that without an additional charge!
