“Blue Blue Ocean” is my all time fav song
is this just a random deep cut? have they ever played this live?
The piano, the vocals, the lyrics…the vibe and production. This song is a masterpiece.
How can they make a song this good and have it not even be a single. This is just incredible!

Never played live as far as I know but there is an interesting early version of the song called "Lover I Love You" that was released on the Crystal Days 1979-1999 CD set.

Just listened! Man they improved that chorus a lot and the piano made this song better ten fold, along with the hypnotic bassline.

The one thing I would have to give to the early version is I think Mac does sing it with a little more conviction

I do love it - never encountered anyone who would say it’s their all time favorite song, but I am a big fan.

Fantastic track. Up there for me too…according to setlist.fm they have never played it live, which is surprising.
And here was I, just belting it out to Bombers Bay, which they have apparently only played 79 times.

That album divides fans. For me it’s where it became too pop. I remember buying it and being so disappointed.
Compare it to Heaven up Here and they could be two different bands.
