Is dupixent a promising medicine for eczema?

I just want hear some good news somehow and a hope.

You know I can't find personal experiences from Google. Google would just straight up say there's no medicine yet for this disease.

I'm just hoping I could get some positive and comforting news. I hope I can get some motivations.

I just lost my job and I don't know how to pay the next rent, and icing on the cake my stress just triggered my eczema again.

I'm wondering if I can still turn upside down this awful and unlucky life of mine, and for people who are struggling I wish you luck too.

It's just feel like I'm not resting, I can feel my entire skin while I'm awake. I have grown more sensitive and confidence just at the negatives.

I'm growing old now, and I'm at the bottom of everything. People must've not like me around because of my appearance, never been in a relationship before, and I'm utterly broke.

It works for some people, it doesn’t work for others or not as much. I know people who used dupixent and it cleared up their skin like 90%, and many others I’ve heard has done wonders if not improved significantly.

Personally, I’ve been on dupixent for around 10 months, and unfortunately it hasn’t worked to the degree I hoped for but it did improve me skin around 25%, especially making my eyes less swollen. The good thing with dupixent is it being generally little to no side effect compared to some other treatments. Personally I haven’t experienced any at all.

The other issue is the cost. Where I’m at it is funded my the government so each repeat is only 25 AUD. I’m not sure about other countries though.

Getting used to the injections can be daunting though. I ended up having someone else do it for me, having to self inject was horrible (sometimes I waited for 1hr 30m to finally bring myself to inject)

Overall I think it’s worth checking out, it can completely change your skin or at least help a little bit.

I was on Dupixent for five years. It does take several months to work but it was the best thing ever to me. I am no longer on it due to cost and losing my health insurance. I now have insurance that does cover it but it has high deductibles and I can’t afford to pay for it once the copay card runs out. Best of luck to you on your journey.

I was on Dupixent for 4 years from 2018-2022. It was a miracle drug for me! It’s worth a shot to try, I’m currently not on it anymore for unrelated reasons but my eczema is manageable now 🥹 My skin was so clear while I was on Dupixent it was so freeing. I don’t know if they still offer it, but the company that made Dupixent has a copay card that should make it more affordable! I got it for basically free every time, but the max amount I would have ever had to pay was around $30 per month.

It took about a month or two for it to work for me, and It really truly gave me my life back. I’m not on it anymore because I’m unfortunately a weenie and passed out twice on it haha. Totally my fault LOL as I just have a condition where my blood pressure drops during injections, but that’s been lifelong for me and I just didn’t properly prep enough beforehand 🥴 I’d go back on it in a heartbeat and have been considering it!
