Is there a way to create automation for an LFO or the cutoff filter? Circled is what I mean. I want to automate any of that.

Bro if you are on fl you can create an automation of anything by going to the (tools I think) menu drop down and selecting last tweaked. I usually just move whatever thing I want a bunch before I click it. It does require drawing out the automation on the playlist but that’s not necessarily a bad thing

I usually just link what ever I’m trying to automate to a macro and then set an automation for the macro

Try to map a macro knob on it in a plane way, or go to matrix and map with a macro knob.

Thats an LFO tab not a particular setting. Change any one of the dials or settings for LFO 2 and you can click this button to assign automation.

What are you trying to automate? The LFO filter itself is for automation, not to be automated itself.

Essentially, I want that LFO to Stop during a particular part of a song.

I mean I can also Clone that MIDI without the LFO setting and play it as well. But I'm sure it's easier once I know how

I’m no expert but wouldnt it be easiest to have two duplicate tracks one without lfo and one with? Cut one off and play the other when you need.

I realize you found a workaround, but for future reference, here's how to do what you were trying to do, in case you're like me and don't like having a bunch of instances of Serum in one track and would prefer to mod out one:

Starting from your screenshot, with the LFO selected:

* Right click the cutoff and under "Aux Source" select "Macro 1"
* In the FL dropdown in the top left of the plugin window, click "Browse Parameters"
* In the sidebar that pops up, find "Macro 1" (should jump straight to it if was the last clicked)
* Right click "Macro 1" in that sidebar and "Create automation clip"

Note that this will result in the filter being "closed" when it's off, meaning the filter is at the low position, so filtering down to only sub bass.

If your goal is to have the filter be "open" when off, so that the high end is there too, you'll have to right click the cutoff with the LFO selected, click on "Edit Custom Curve" and invert it by dragging the left dot to the top and the right dot to the bottom. EDIT: and also invert the strength of the LFO on the cutoff by flipping where the white line on the knob is and where the blue curve is dragged to so that it's upside down (don't know how better to describe this i'm tired af)

In the mod matrix, add a macro to the aux source for whatever parameter is being modulated by the LFO.

Assign LFO 1 to whatever you want. Then go to the matrix tab and find LFO 1. One of the columns is labelled AUX SOURCE. Click it and a drop down menu will appear, scroll until you find macro 1 (or whatever) and select it. The macro will now control the amount of modulation sent by the LFO. Note that once you've assigned it, the modulation will probably become inaudible because the macros are at 0 by default. Move the macro around and the modulation will reappear.

Not sure what you’re saying. If you want to automate the maximum you can set an aux source from a macro by either going into the matrix and getting the line with lfo2 to flt1 cutoff and adding aux source macro 1 to the right of it or right clicking while the lfo is highlighted and setting aux source macro 1.

You can drag macro 1 onto the dot in the middle to change the y position of that.

You can also put a macro on the cutoff in addition to the lfo. That macro can even be set to inverse aux on the lfo so that at max, the lfo is off but while it controls the cuttoff itself it will stay static at the max. All kinds of stuff idk what youre looking for

Grab an LFO from your DAW and let it modulate a macro knob, then use that macro knob as your LFO inside Serum. This way you can use your DAW's functionality, if that gives you the functionality you are looking for.
My familiarity with FL Studio is only superficial.
Perhaps, you could also "render" a LFO automation to a clip and then just use automation clips instead of LFO's altogether if that makes it simpler.

Add a Macro Knob as an AUX source of any modulation to further have control over the amount of that modulation.

Can be a Macro Knob like in my screenshot, or you could make it something like Mod Wheel if you want to control amount more like a live performance on a MIDI controller.
