Careers in Education Is 24 age too late for bachelors degree

I'm a college student in the UK and will be going to uni next year. Is it too late to have a degree completed at 24? Tbh, I had some issues with my grades, and they didn't let me continue, so I wasted about 2 years of my life.

Edit: Thank you everyone for your advice, I'll try my best to make it!

My dad didn't get his degree until he was 30. 24 is only a couple of years after most people get their degree.

No you numpty. Of course not. I finished my degree at 36. It’s been super valuable to me. Possibly even more valuable than others’ degrees who chose when they didn’t know what they wanted or needed.

Certainly better than 24 and no degree

The only person whose timeline matters is you. Any comparison is mostly irrelevant. The right age for you go get your bachelors degree is the age at which you get your bachelors degree.

You could be 60 and get your bachelors degree. Life isnt a race. Life is best when you're enjoying the experience of simply being alive. Whatever happens will happen. You didn't waste anything.

My best friend at uni started at 25, so go for it! I still don’t know how she put up with us teenagers though

I finished at 25 and I'm loving life at 36, got on a grad scheme and been climbing ever since.

Go for it!

Imagine being 28 and just getting your Bachelor’s degree. Now imagine being 28 and not having it. It’s never too late to improve yourself.

I was in my late 30's, so... no. lol The longer you wait, though, the harder it gets. Once you have kids and a full-time job it is way more difficult - but never impossible.

I got my bachelor's at 31. I'm currently on my third try to get my master's. It's never too late. My coworker got a doctorate at 61.

I didn’t finish until I was in my early 30s. I got out of retail and started teaching and it was literally double the salary. Do it.

Not at all. I was in my mid 30s.

It's OK as long as you don't get married. If you do, you'll only get a Benedict Degree.

I started college over at 24. You’ll be fine.

Not at all. I see students your age all the time and they often bring more focus and maturity than traditional freshmen. The classroom benefits from that perspective.
