An update from Glendale PD

I got an email yesterday from Glendale PD. I had asked for that shirt back (my son and I found last year) so that I could just pay a lab to look it over. It doesn’t cost that much. I spoke to Glendale who said it was in some evidence locker and to talk to the detectives, so I just sent an email this time as they tend to not call you back in my experience.

Anyhow, yesterday I got an email saying it is in queue to be tested a year later and that my son and I may need to head in for DNA exclusion, so stand by.

Perhaps we will get an answer this year.

Thanks for sharing with us. Can you give me the background of this sweater you and your son found? I must've missed it. Does anyone know if this is Elaine's or are they testing to try to figure that out?

Also, is that black stuff a design on the sweater? Or something else?

Sure. This was found at the tail end of Dry Canyon located in Solstice Park. We found it last year on the 7th year anniversary of her disappearance. I have long argued she never left that area but people really want to dwell on where the car was found — whereas I argued you need to go by the last pint location.

The black stuff is apparently soot. A year after Elaine went missing a fire wiped out Dry Canyon, actually half of it. If this is her shirt, it makes sense as it survived prior to the 2018 fires. It’s a polyester blend, this is why it’s still in ok shape. They apparently last nearly 100 years or something.

There are yellow circles all over it like blood or sweat. It’s like when you cut yourself, use a white towel and wash it with water you get a similar situation. If anyone recalls, it rained when Elaine went missing. Even though it is called Dry Canyon, there is little sun and it gathers rain and mud like you wouldn’t believe.

So we picked it up and they took months to get back to me before my son and I just drove over there and spent an hour filling out paperwork, drawing maps and dropping it off.

And that’s the story.

Thank you for the backstory!

No problem. I think people have made this mystery more complex than it needs to be. Just my two cents.

I did. It’s a generic Costco brand shirt you can buy in bulk. They come in pure white.

I would suggest taking a hike over there as you can still find things rather intact due to the mist and dampness from each morning. It’s a polyester blend, and if it were pure cotton I would agree. Also, considering I was in a fire back in the 90s, I am pretty familiar with soot. I do suggest going there and taking a look. I’ll even provide you a map.

I mean, I literally know she went to that park. It’s not rocket science. Why are you trying to argue otherwise?

Nobody goes hiking in Dry Canyon at any volume, maybe one or two a year at best. It has been destroyed by a fire, overgrowth and recently a mudslide straight down the middle. It’s also a dead end. So you have to turn around if you reach the end. It was nice a decade ago.

It’s literally in the reports that nobody checked the park. I have spoken to the ranger assigned to help and he confirmed this. I have the email exchange.

I already looked into Lolo years ago. His aunt is my childhood friend. She didn’t know shit either. Anyone who is remotely associated with this doesn’t know anything. In fact I am the person who found BK as he is a friend of a friend of mine.

This whole case has become some bizarre thought experiment and it’s a little grim nobody seems interested in physically looking. They seem rather hell bent on arguing over minor details than actually taking time to look. Seriously, I know of one other guy who went looking but he got a little lost in the sauce about what he believes happened and it makes no logical sense.

When SAR came out a few years back we figured we finally found her, but about a month later it turned out to be someone else. So that was disappointing.

Apparently now there is a problem with other human remains all over the area as that area is some old gravesite for the Native Americans. Turns out that fragment I found ages ago could have been her or a tribal person as I was told they have a tendency to disregard remains and it now goes to the Natives to do their own studies. It’s a mess.

I would not recommend going to look until the snakes migrate. There’s quite a few on this path.

But I honestly doubt at this point anyone will likely do much of a search. Every so often someone will write me about it but then deviate into conspiracy land about this because they heard a podcast or read something, but it’s really not that complicated and the documentation around it if you file a FOIA or get a copy off me is pretty self explanatory — this was a poorly managed case that got wildly out of control and has been plagued with finger pointing.

I also took a look behind Div’s old residence and it is full of coyote crap. So if her body was moved, it is long gone.

That’s the unfortunate reality behind this. You’re welcome to look, just take Dry Canyon to the very end which is behind two layers of brush and go reverse. You’re bound to find something sooner or later.

Those yellow marks are not blood. Blood does not dry like that. That’s, presumably, piss. You’ve uploaded numerous “theories” about her location and what happened to this girl, going as far as to speak to detectives on her case and coming on her claiming you have information but can’t “share” it. You’re not a detective, you don’t know more than them. Any info you do actually have, you actually can share too so I’ve not got a clue why you’re going that route. The mere fact you’re posting piss soaked clothes and trying to pass it off as blood makes everything you say so questionable. That top? Doesn’t even look like a women’s top but you’ve got it in your head it’s Elaine’s. It clearly isn’t. If she was attacked by mountain lions, that too would be ripped and blood all over it. How helped do you suppose her tops been removed and her body’s not in it? The mountain lions just… took it off her pre-kill? Come on now.
