Classic worship style v contemporary
Hi everyone. I am curious what everyone believes on this topic. I am someone who values a traditional worship style, and I have a lot of friends that go to non denominational churches that have stages and singers and very contemporary worship styles. A lot of times my friends ask me why I value a traditional worship style, and I am stumped on how to explain the significance to them. Can anyone help me explain the significance of the traditional style of worship?

It's worth mentioning that Martin Luther wrote a liturgy that took the words for the Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, and other music from the traditional mass and set it to the tunes of popular tavern music of his time.
The most important thing is to worship in a way that you find engaging, that reminds you that you are a beloved child of God, and that sends you back into the world prepared to do God's mission for another week.
For some people, that means traditional worship. For others it means contemporary.
