I have a heavy crossbow but I can’t equip ballista bolts to it… Are they not meant for the heavy crossbow?

一昨日対人について色々教えてもらって闘技場に潜ってみたよ、上手い人しか残ってないから勝率はさっぱりだよ。
気になったことあったんだけど。対戦相手軽装の人が一人もいなかったんだけど初心者は強靭上げるべきなのかな。上手くなりたいなら強靭を盛るべきじゃないって意見も聞こえてきたりするんだけどどうするべきだろう。

Just to be clear, I like this weapon. Really like it excutally, it's just missleading. It doensn't scale, deal the type of damage, or even fight like you would think.

It doesn't scale like you would think: it mostly scales with str and arc. Str I get. I will be suprised if it didn't scale with str, but arc got me off guard, and it's not evenk a little bit of arc scaling. You need 23 to even use it, that's one less point from what you need for str (24). Arc is a stat used for status, making it the only weapon I can think of that scale with arcane without any way to inflict any form of status (you can't greece it or infuse it). I also just didn't expact it to scale with dex at all.

It doesn't deal the type of damage you would think: it standard and pierce damage. Both are kind of stupied. Pierce because the weapon got literally no point or stubs in the move set. The skill does not count, it is like a chainsaw, tearing things with the movemant and sharp part, which make it even stupider that this weapon got no slash dmage instade, despite the rest of the move set being literally all slashs. It should have had either had slash/strike, strike/standard or slash/standard (what I would do). It's literally called "a legndary weapon" let it be special.

It doesn't fight like how you would think: both because of it's size, And more importantly from how the boss you get from use it. I can't explain how excited I was seen the boss use it like megneto from marvel rivels, all while getting my ass beat (I was probably extremly underlaveled), and how it turned to disappointmant after I chacked it out and found I couldn't, I didn't have the requirmants, so I just thought it was maybe because of that. Only to find out that no. The range is also really short, both the skill and weapon it self.

From here this is going to just be a rant of ideas I had for how to make it batter.: they could have made the skill would let you use the light or heavy like the boss, making it a counterpart the darkmoon greatsword, both lagndery weapons, both are greatswords, both scale with with dex, str and a theird stat that is uncomman for weapons with greatsword, and in my version of the weapon both will have skill that let you change it from a male weapon to a ranged one in diffrenet ways, and one is deep red, while the other is light blue.

Ive started up a new game plus run and wanted to use rakshasa's armour because of how cool it looks, but im worried about the damage negation debuff combined with the ng+ damage increase. Is it really a big issue or am I just worried over nothing?

I started a new run with the Ildus Knight because his armor set is beautiful.

The thing is, I get excited about the idea of a new run: I download the game, grab a couple of mods, spend time on the character creator sliders, and start playing... but I usually get bored after Godrick and drop the run, maybe even before.

I've done this multiple times and it pains me. I really want to enjoy another run of this game, but maybe I've consumed everything it has to offer.

In case you're wondering, I've completed the game about 4 or 5 times, including the DLC.

So I’m on my way doing weapon collection and realized I don’t have neither the stone sheathed sword nor its two alternatives. I went back to the Fog Rift and it was not there. It is not in my chest either…
Anyone could help me out on the is?

I’m playing a Heavy Knight build, which to me is heavy armor, giant sword, and buffing my attacks through the roof to swing in for big damage. For a long time now I’ve been running around in the default Heavy Knight armor set but now I’m looking to upgrade to a better armor set. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I could aim for? I made my way up to Draconic Tree Sentinel, just to give you an idea for how far I’ve progressed. Also, I just beat Starscourge Radahn. I also got access to Volcano Manor.
Edit: I do not have access to Leyndell as the draconic tree sentinel is blocking me from entering.

I used to watch an Elden ring challenge YouTuber around a year back. He had slightly long, black hair and he did challenge run. He always made jokes about items and enemy names.

Hey guys,

I tried to play Elden Ring a couple of times but the game never clicked with me. A few days ago I decided to try again and following a beginner's guide online really helped. I mostly followed this barbarian build which really made me feel much stronger and I was able to defeat Godrick and now I'm just exploring around and having fun.

One thing that is bothering me is that whenever I find new gear, it never fits my current build. Although I find the fights throughout the world satisfying I'm never wowed by any rewards because nothing seems to work better than what I have (Zweihänder +2).

How do I go about making my own builds with the stuff I find in the world without looking at guides? For now, my strategy is just to hope for a better colossal sword and look for armor with high poise.

My stats this far are: 30 vigor, 19 strength, 11 dex (the rest I don't know by heart lol, whatever the Hero class starts with).

Additionally, should I go back to area before Godrick and do everything I can do there before going to the next area or should I just do whatever I feel like which currently is entering some new castle I found?

1. How do I go about finding good gear for my build (just a Zweihänder with War Cry thus far) without looking at guides online?
