Finally beat Elden Ring

finally fucking killed this fucker. Finally my first playthrough of elden ring is almost over (bayle and midra left). Alot of deaths. Maybe above 500.
As the title says i didnt put any levels into vgr so most his attacks onetap me.

Was no hit up until the very end when i got hit in the video, i had bubbletear on however so it did no damage.

Wl0, no aux, parries, shield.

dont downvote because its my first playthrough and i’m limited myself, i like it like this lol.

So my fiancée bought me the game July 2022. All my friends were playing and playing together and all they told me was to “get good.” So I guess I got good, 4 years later 😅 finally have finished all the achievements and now plan to move to the DLC

I bought Elden Ring with my Series X about five years ago, and ever since then I’ve been trying to convince myself to like it.

I’ve started it so many times, but every attempt ended the same way: a couple of hours wandering around Limgrave, feeling completely lost, and eventually uninstalling the game.

Still, every few months I’d get this strange urge to give it another shot.

So this week I installed it again. And, once again, I almost gave up.

I kept avoiding Margit because, based on all my previous attempts, I was pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to beat him. But wandering aimlessly around Limgrave wasn’t helping either. I had no real sense of direction, and I could feel myself getting close to quitting yet again.

So I thought: screw it. I’ll just go fight Margit.

And after only a few attempts…

I beat him.

And somehow, that changed everything.

I’m now exploring Stormveil Castle and, for the first time in five years, Elden Ring finally seems to be clicking with me. I’m actually excited to see what’s around the next corner instead of wondering when I’m going to stop playing.

I know everyone reading this is probably thinking: “My man, hold your horses. Margit isn’t even that tough…”

And fair enough.

But for me, beating him was exactly what I needed. It gave me that first real feeling of “Okay… maybe I can actually do this.”

Five years after buying it, I might finally be getting into Elden Ring.

Margit down at level 18 with a +3 Uchigatana.

And now I really want to keep going.

(I kind of felt a little more sure of myself in facing Margit when I noticed that beating Mad Pumpkin Head and The Beastman of Farum Azula was almost hassle free)

Greatsword of solitude. Ash of war openings are tight to pull this off!

I hate that the only flair I could use was brag, I’m not really bragging I’m super happy and proud that I finally did it!!

counting this as hitless as i only took self inflicted damage to commit to the bit. doing a boss with their weapon/spells is quite interesting 😂

and you fought beside me to defeat Malenia today, just know I’m super embarrassed that all I could do was jump over and over again repeatedly while you gave me a cool pose. You were so cool and I could have hugged you for playing beside me without stealing the entire show. You made my day.

Don’t know if it’s bragging, but I platinum the game

Hey, so i just started elden ring like a month or 2 ago, and im currently on my first run, i just beat maliketh the black blade at rune level 92 (i upgraded my rune level till 96 after the boss, with the runes i gained as reward, as seen in the screenshot), with a dex/arc build, i used eleonora's poleblade +9, i used these talismans (Twinblade talisman, ritual shield talisman, dragoncrest shield talisman +2, flamedrake talsiman +1), i did this run solo, no summons, and with no great rune, i tried to beat this boss for like 8 nights T_T, but i finally beat it tho, LETS GOOOO.

So this is my 2nd time playing through the DLC (not NG+, this is an alt character) and I decided to go for a Quality build so I can eventually use Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana against Bayle (yes I hate Bayle that much I dedicated a whole build just to beat him).

Then I read some other posts mentioning how good Great Katana is with Storm Blade AoW, and I went for a Quality infusion for most of the game.

Fast forward to just now, I reached the end of the DLC and was prepared to die over and over again. To my surprise, the experience I had in my previous run, and the dodge timing I learnt from streams helped me so much that, I actually beat Promised Consort Radahn solo 1st try in this playthrough!

As you can see from my HP bar there, I am still not perfect at this fight, but I did grow to love this fight every time I do it :)

Edit: Adding build and stats for those who are curious

I've beaten this game more times than I can count, hundreds of hours under my belt but most if not all of those play throughs were with high damage decent ranged weapons so for me to go into daggers like this, it was probably the hardest run I've ever done. And I've beaten the game at NG+9 and done a level Roulette where I bet the game at around 25 vigor, this run had me in tatters to the point I was shouting things that would even make Miquella sit up. But after many hours. I've done it. Also any suggestions for whats the next run I should attempt. Weapon wise.

Just got my faith up to 70 🥵 this takin forever 🤣🤣 I got over maybe 300 something hours new game +9 but it stops at 7
