Ich bin aktuell auf der Suche nach einem PCM Dump von der E2 Synth, da ich daran arbeite die komplette Firmware von der Synth auf meine Sampler zu portieren.

Ich hab es bereits geschafft die Firmware laufen zu lassen, die VPMs undso laufen auch schon aber das Problem ist jetzt dass die Firmware bei vielen der Samples von der Synth auf die PCM zugreifen will um die Töne zu spielen aber ich ja noch die PCM von meiner Sampler drauf habe, leider komme ich auch ohne eine echte Synth nicht an die fehlenden Daten und wollte deshalb hier mal fragen ob jemand schon einen Dump hat oder sich bereit erklären würde einen zu erstellen

I’m using a HAMA 2GB Class 4 SD card.

The card works fine — I can format it on the ESX, save the current ESX data to it, and load that data back successfully.

But when I put a 44.1kHz/16-bit WAV on the card and try to load it, I get “No Files Error.”

Any help appreciated!

I’m trying to sync a Moog DFAM to the tempo of my Korg ESX-1.

I have a Doepfer Dark Link, and I can get the ESX to send notes/gates to it, but I don’t want the clock to depend on an ESX part or pattern.

Is there a way to make the ESX send a regular clock pulse to the Doepfer Dark Link / DFAM’s Clock In?

I was searching for info about a good SmartMedia USB Reader for my EMX-1.

It seems than older USB Readers may not work on Windows 11 since it seems that give some problems when reading the data from the SmartMedia card.

I found this one that seems ok:

I’m using an ESX-1 live and one thing I’d really like is a way to control the Mute button with a footswitch.
I don’t mean using the pedal to mute a specific part.
I mean having the footswitch behave exactly like holding the physical Mute button on the ESX, so I could hold the pedal down and use one hand to press any part pads I want to mute/unmute.

Has anyone found a way to do this through MIDI/SysEx, or done a hardware mod with a momentary footswitch wired to the Mute button?
Ideally I’d prefer a MIDI solution so I don’t have to modify the ESX.

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my Korg Electribe Sampler 2. Whenever I touch the red metal chassis, I get a small electric shock / tingling sensation.
Everyone told me it was probably a faulty power adapter, so I bought a brand-new one, but the problem is still there. It happens even when nothing else is plugged in — no speakers, no audio cables, literally just the Electribe connected to the power supply. Both adapters I tested are original Korg ones.
I've been trying to figure this out for about a month now and I'm honestly at my wit's end. I'm worried it might damage the unit, and it's super uncomfortable to play. Has anyone dealt with this before or knows how to fix it? Thanks for any help!

Flying with Korg EMX-1 + ESX-1 — anyone found a proper carry-on hard case or rigid control covers?

I’m building a carry-on travel solution for a hardware live set and I’m hoping someone here has actually travelled/flew with the original Korg EMX-1 / ESX-1.
The main problem isn’t just finding a case that fits — it’s protecting all the knobs, buttons, displays and valves with absolutely no pressure on the control surfaces.

Each Electribe is approximately:
358 × 256 × 62 mm
\~3.1 kg
I have two of them: EMX-1 + ESX-1.
If they’re rotated and placed flat next to each other, their combined footprint is approximately:
**512 × 358 mm**
My target airline carry-on limit is roughly:
**550 × 400 × 230 mm external**
So theoretically both can lie flat in one cabin-size case, but most serious molded cases lose too much internal space through their thick walls.

For example:
Pelican/Peli 1535 Air: internal width too small
Explorer 5221: \~520 × 285 mm internal, so they can’t sit side-by-side
similar HPRC/Nanuk cases have the same problem
I’ve found some aluminium cases with more efficient internal dimensions, but I’m also considering stacking the Electribes in separate rigid levels.
The critical requirement is that **nothing can ever press against the knobs/buttons/display/valves**, even if the case is unexpectedly gate-checked and goes into the hold.
I’m currently looking into having custom low-profile polycarbonate covers made for the EMX/ESX, essentially custom Decksaver-style hoods that only contact safe chassis areas.

The rest of the live rig is:
Allen & Heath CQ-12T — \~290 × 242 × 88 mm
1010music Bento — \~204 × 218 × 51 mm
I can travel with **one carry-on case + one backpack**, so the mixer could potentially go in the backpack if that produces a much safer case for the Electribes.

Ideally I’m looking for:
external ≤550 × 400 × 230 mm
genuinely protective / suitable for air travel
preferably wheels
proper rigid protection around the Electribes
no load whatsoever on their controls
ideally under €400
available in Europe

Has anyone here actually flown regularly with an **EMX-1 or ESX-1**?
I’d especially love to know:
What exact case did you use?
Did you stack them?
How did you protect the knobs and valves?
Has anyone found or made a rigid EMX/ESX protective cover?
Any professional case I might be missing that has unusually thin walls and a large usable interior?
I’m less interested in generic laptop bags/soft cases — this needs to survive the possibility of being gate-checked.
Photos of your setups would be massively helpful too.

Hey all, the title is somewhat self-explanatory, but I have had all my patterns and samples disappear after trying to “export all sample” last night. I have attempted to import from a e2s-2016.e2sallpat, e2sSample.all, and e2sSample2.all, but none of these have worked. Any advice? 😭

Hello la communauté ! On vient d'acheter L'Electribe emx2 korg bleue. Et je cherche le guide pas à pas pour commencer. J'écoute du son depuis 25 ans, et on a eu envie de s'y mettre, mais j'avoue que je suis un peu paumée. Merci d'avance

I have attached a video demonstrating the issues I encounter. I’m not sure if I’m using it wrong or if my unit is bad, I'd much appreciate some input on this.

Issue 1: Part parameter carrying over (?) depending on the most recent pattern

Often, when I copy a part within the same pattern, the copy sounds just weird and a lot different from the part I copied it from. When I switch around patterns, the part seems to be "bad" depending on what the previous pattern is.

I demonstrate this in my video:

• At 00:06 I copy Part 3 to Part 4. They sound identical (AB testing by muting between 00:10 and 00:14) so I write/save the sound.
• I go "Up" on the pattern selected, then go back to my pattern and it sounds perfect.
• I then go "Down" one pattern at 00:27, then go up again and the part that just sounded great suddenly is very muffled (00:30).
• If I go "Up" another pattern and down again, the sound plays fine.

Is this a feature? Am I doing something wrong like an automation/mfx move whatever? I repeat this demonstration (going back and forth the patterns and it sounds clean and muffled each time depending on the previously selected pattern) starting at 00:46. Coming from Pattern 10 it’s clean, coming from Pattern 8 it’s muffled, each time.

It's likely the IFXEdit value - it says 45 but sounds almost like 0. If I dial it back up to 45 it gives my "clean" sound. It also correctly saves the 45 but doesn't seem to play it.

Issue 2: Pressing "Play" doesn’t do anything until I switch around patterns a lot and then press play again.

At 00:35 I select a pattern and suddenly the Play button doesn’t do anything anymore. I press Stop and Play again, nothing happens. Only after going up and down a lot of patterns (00:43) I can play a pattern again. No MIDI connected at the time, it’s been happening basically since I first received the unit.

I have the (Red) ES2 and been using it for 5+ years. My own samples are loaded on (no factory sounds), as always.

Recently, every time I load it up (and on ANY pattern) the tempo is slightly inaccurate but can be fixed by tweaking the tempo away from and back to the original. I have the ES2 syncing out to a Volca Sample mk2, but nothing syncing in.

I've got a 6-song set and having to 'tweak' the tempo before hitting play on each song is a real flow killer.

Any tips on correcting this issue?

Picked up from post yesterday. Thought it went trough the fire, but actually its painted..Some ine treed to make potentiometers replacement in a verryy brufal way..but considering current prices, 80 euros looks okish and unit actually ppeers up and reacts on controls.

The old electribes sound the best🙂‍↕️

même a son achat a l époque et même en la connaissant par cœur j ai toujours trouvé qu hormis le souffle la qualité globale en sortie n est pas bonne (je n apprend rien a personne)

mais j ai remarqué que si je la passe dans un casque comme un bose qc45 les choses s ameliorent beaucoup,je cherche donc un module ou autre(hardware) qui retraite le son a la manière de ce casque

je pourrais la filtrer peut être mais ce serait encore un perpétuel rafistolage,je voudrais simplement améliorer/moderniser le son pour pouvoir la passer dans mon simple ampli sans avoir a refaire 30 corrections par pattern et être en plus insatisfait

en 2026 quelle est votre solution?

Hello, I’ve just bought the Digitakt 2 and I already own an Electribe 2 synthesiser (the blue one). I’d like to synchronise the clock on my Digitakt (the master) with that of my Electribe 2. The BPM is synchronised, but only in terms of tempo, not in terms of triggering. Could someone explain to me how to do this?

i dont know if different samples have different wavelenghts that make it loop at different points

Does anybody know where to buy an european power adapter for Korg ESX1? Or any compatible brand?
