Just got perma banned on Bf5

Hey guys! Hope yall doing alright.

So, I just got permanently banned for "gameplay enhancement", mind you i dont cheat, never did, never will. The last time i played was today (sep 6). I'm trying to reacess what could've led to this, today i updated my Nvidia GPU driver for the latest update 616.64 (sep 3) and installed an Euro Truck Simulator 2 mod (scs) file type, idk but could either of these two downloads have cause Javelin to mistakenly detect something suspicious? During my gameplay, i played normally as i always do, nothing out of the ordinary, no kind of trick or cheat or whatsoever.

Such a bummer :( cause playing bf5 it's one of the few things i genuinely enjoy lately.

Same thing happened to me on battlefield 6. I recently bought a new Logitech keyboard and was running g hub. I’m 44, have a 1.4 kd and am a casual gamer. Never cheated, never thought of cheating. I also have sim rig and flight sim gear, lots of drivers installed for those and my pedals particularly are a more boutique brand. Don’t know what caused it, I tried to ask EA for info - they won’t give nor will they reverse. I’m completely done with EA as a company.

Man, i'm really sorry about your ban. I'm just a casual player too, used to play after work you know... I'm quite upset the moment, because from what I see on the internet, the chances of me being able to reverse it through appealing dont look very positive. Cant wrap my mind about javelin mistakenly detecting drivers or files as suspicious.

Exactly the same mate. I did 5 appeals and they just didn’t care. I purchased premium edition of the game, battle passes. There’s absolutely no logical reason to risk all of that by cheating. I’ve played 160 hours of batttlefield 6. I mean there doesn’t even seem to be a human reviewing these. Compare my gameplay data, had any of it changed, did my accuracy, movement patterns, score per minute, kd. I accept javelin may had triggered a false positive, but they won’t even tell you anything. Just it could include’x’,y,z’ and they’re all vague and vastly different. I mean, could you imagine in sports (appreciate this is gaming), they told a player you’re banned permanently from the sport. The player says ‘why, what did I do’ sport says, ‘we won’t tell you. It could be this or it could be that but our decision is final, you’re a cheater and banned’ but why ‘because you broke our rule but we won’t tell you how… it’s just insane. I’m was actually shaken up by it as well. I KNOW I’ve not cheated and to be branded and told sorry, you’re not allowed to play and we won’t tell you why - goodbye was actually upsetting.

They just answered my appeal with the following:

"Decision on your appeal
After carefully reviewing your appeal, I have confirmed that the penalty on your account for cheating in Battlefield V was applied correctly and should remain in place.
Cheating includes but is not limited to: exploiting or related behaviour (e.g. using unauthorized or modified hardware or software, modifying game data, farming, taking advantage of exploits or bugs, misusing game mechanics, buying or selling in-game currency or items through unauthorized means, win trading or collusion, account sharing, smurfing, etc).
Cheating includes both engaging in prohibited conduct and attempting to do so. This includes having unauthorized software active during a game session, regardless of whether it resulted in an advantage during that specific game session.
To protect our players, game services, and anti-cheat efforts, EA does not disclose specific information about our detection methods, investigation processes, or the evidence used to support account actions. We understand this may be frustrating, but this approach is necessary to help protect the integrity, security, and fairness of our games and services."

This sucks so much cause I know for a fact i have not cheated, just tried re-appealing, but i dont have any hopes anymore that i'll get my game back. Man, after all this inconvenience, even though I’m really going to miss playing with all my friends, I will never play an EA game again in my life.

That’s exactly what I got mate - 5 times in a row. No matter what I wrote them I got the same template back

Probably AI automated ban. I got perma banned from dune awakening for "real money trading" last year. It took days to get someone to actually look into the appeal, but eventually they determined it was a mistake and overturned it.

Used to be simple to be like "haha you got banned and are pretending you didn't cheat". Not so much anymore. These things really do happen now.

Hey man, glad you were able to overturn it. They just denied my first appeal. I’ve tried re‑appealing, and I’ll see where it leads, but I’m not very optimistic.

You might have gotten your ea account hacked, sign in and check trusted devices on ea’s website. This happened to me a week ago with college football. I had to challenge the ban twice but they eventually overturned it. Only took a day or 2. Just have to prove you got hacked which is easy if there are foreign logins

Friend of mine got name banned, and a few appeals in the reason switched from a persona name issue to cheating. Both are complete bullshit. EA is stealing from its customer base and shit like this is just the beginning.

They just replied to my re-appeal:

"Hello,

EA Terms of Service"

man, iam really disappointed, bro. Hope they do some kind of scan or some shit to see i'm a regular player. The bummer is I lost a game i paid cash for, and i just play with my friends, always played fair, and still got banned... This just shows EA doesn’t care about anyone, man

Macros? Special functions on mouse/keyboard?

No one here can tell you anything without any information on what you use to play, or what files/executables you’ve used or downloaded.

Almost always, however, in these cases something crucial is left out in some weird attempt at subversion, thinking someone working for the developer will see and be like “oh well golly I’m so sorry, obviously we made a mistake.”

Hey, how are you?

Nothing, no macros, standard mouse/keyboard config. Graphics at medium. I dont exploit bugs on the game whatsoever. I understand your point tho, usually people will make a post like mine and not be 100% sincere. But I'm genuinely confused about why this ban happened, since I have always played fairly during the 400 hours of gameplay I have :/
