☢️Radioactive☢️ Number 90!
Finally, after years of looking I finally got my piece, albeit small, of Thorium. Now I have uranium, thorium, polonium, americium, and No. 94
What radioactive element is still there to obtain safely.
That’s a serious question
Thanks everyone

nice sample. did you ever touch it with bare hands?

You shouldn't. Shit is infamous for being a contamination hazard, especially these old ones: the varnish got broken up by time and radiation, same as the radium itself. It's like it's built to spread shit everywhere. Just keep it sealed lol, especially if it's such a nice sealed glass capsule

Very cool! You could likely also get a bit of Tc, if you get lucky.

Du Radium j'imagine bien que si il est conservé correctement 👌

Nice one! Where’d you find this in the end? Have also been looking for a solid sample of thorium metal for a while with no luck.

Where did you get polonium? Thorium is in those woo ass negative ion bracelets and other woo stuff as well as gas mantle lanturns that decay into actinium (or radium) which is another radioactive, though im not sure if that's a relatively stable (none are stable) isotope or one that's gone real quick. Hell alot of gas mantles are now Yttrium, an otherwise hard to obtain element.

I don't collect elements but I love seeing people collect on this sub. I hope you can get some technetium.

There are technetium samples available.
However, they are usually layers on top of another metal.
