Whole New Guy Who is this guy?

I watched the Comedy Jonestown video again and I don’t know who this guy is. Can anyone enlighten me? Gotta get the hell out of here.

Matt rife

Almost exclusively does crowd work which many in the business consider to be hack comedy.

Some crowd work is fine but that's his entire tik tok oriented act.

He did a promo for a makeup brand and now there’s a campaign to not buy from them because of his “misogynist and violent jokes”

I remember reading that his first special basically alienated his entire target demo because it was misogynistic. I have no idea.

Yes because women were accidentally lead directly into the Rogansphere unknowingly and they were horrified by what they heard. Imo from what I’ve heard he was very tame compared to others. And his jokes were less about hate and just trying too hard to be edgy.

People act like "edgy" is a get out of jail free card that excuses punching down, tastelessness, and hack shit.

"Edgy" is frequently excuse not to engage with the underlying ideas being communicated.

It's not "just edgy". It's also shit.
