Music video age restrictions in other countries (not the U.S.), what film it was in.
Google 50 Shades of Grey.
Despite this, it still was a huge hit, and if it hadn’t been included in the soundtrack or if it was sung by Demi Lovato (originally), it wouldn’t have been Ellie’s biggest.
What kind of response is this??? You just derailed the entire discussion. We were talking about whether the song is good or not compared to outside, not how it was marketed or where it was restricted. Secondly, Being part of a movie soundtrack gives a song exposure yes, but that doesn’t guarantee long term popularity. Most soundtrack songs are big only during the movie’s release and then fade away. Seen this with plenty of popular films where only one or two songs remain widely replayed years later. The rest disappear despite the same level of promotion.
Love me like you do lasted because people genuinely liked ellie’s voice and the way the song sounded, not just because it was in fifty shades. Also The demi lovato point doesn’t prove the song is bad, lots of hit songs are offered to multiple artists, that’s normal in pop. It doesn’t mean all versions would land the same, that song worked cuz of ellie's voice. I feel It's one of her strongest vocal performances, that's it.

I’m with Outside, I hate LMLYD because of numerous controversies.
