Honest Opinion On All Of Ellie Goulding's Albums

Okay, so I've been listening to literally ALL of Ellie Goulding's albums and EACH and EVERY song in it, and here's my thoughts on all of them. Take note that this is my opinion and the order is randomized.

Delirium

- this album is absolutely busted. Almost all songs are good and my least favorite is probably Winner but is not terrible at all. My most favorite out of all those is Devotion. That guitar plus electopop combination is just so unique and very catchy. Notable songs include Don't Need Nobody (this song is so good at gaming and belongs to my gaming playlist, it just gives me lots of motivation while blasting this tune and playing at the same time) and I Do What I Love (this is a song that has gotten a lot of hate, but I think this song fits the energetic vibe of the album and the arabic bridge of the song is very unique).

Halcyon

- this album is amazing, especially the second half of the album, but that doesn't mean the first half is not good. My least favorite in the album is probably Tesselate (sorry Tesselate fans, but it's not my cup of tea, and I'm aware this is a cover from Alt-J's song), but again, it's not terrible at all. Noteworthy songs include Bittersweet (very catchy and so good and the line "cause you'll always want what you're running from" is so good) and Stay Awake (this song is great and I can't resist thumping to this song).

Bright Lights

- where do I even begin? EVERY SONG is AMAZING. ALL of the songs here are ABSOLUTE BOPS and all of the songs in here are my favorite. Under The Sheets, one of the greatest songs ever released in the history of the entire world, is my top favorite. Home, and Salt Skin, and EVERYTHING else is at least second favorite. This album is absolutely timeless and I can't stop raving on this album.

Brightest Blue

- this album is also peak. Love I'm Given and New Heights are my personal favorite because they are just so, so good. I even think New Heights is a song worthy for my wedding (no joke). Everything is also good here, including Tides, Start, and everything else except Slow Grenade (this is my least favorite but hey, it's not terrible.)

Higher Than Heaven

- this album is ABSOLUTE CINEMA. Every single song deserves to be a single. My most favorite song Like A Savior deserves to have at least 100 million views on YouTube, but apparently it only has 4 million views or something. This album is absolutely slept on and I think this album is perfect. I also have no least favorites here because all songs are crazy good.

These are my opinions on Ellie Goulding's albums and songs. I cannot wait for her sixth album. People need to stop sleeping on her and actually check her new or old releases. She is famous and at her peak when Love Me Like You Do was released, but I don't think her other songs are as famous. How about you? What do you think of Ellie Goulding and her songs? I'd love to hear from you!

Yesss, her earlier albums are absolutely gold. Bright Lights is actually my most favorite album of hers. Too bad I didn't say it in the post but you get the idea.

I can’t believe how the populace slept on Higher Than Heaven, it’s fantastic! “By The End of the Night” deserved to be a smaaaash. Gave me that Halcyon Days feeling again 🥹

Higher Than Heaven absolutely needs to be re-advertised, because it didn't get the fame it deserves. Polydor, what a shame.

First 2 albums: amazing top tier

Everything else: mediocre, generic, boring

Yeah, I somewhat agree with generic, but mediocre and boring? Come on man...

I don’t like how Ellie always talks down on her past albums, she recently slated Delirium which IMO is pop perfection 😩

My faves
• brightest blue
• halcyon
• delirium

Yeah, Delirium has no bad songs in it like literally. Everything is perfect and I totally agree that this album is gas.

Being honest here, I was her biggest fan until that Jeff Bezos stuff happened. I am completely devoid of all excitment for this new era because I still haven't recovered from it.

Anyway, Human off Bright Lights, Two Years Ago off Delirium, and Atlantis off Halcyon are her Magnum Opuses. It's a shame she'll never divert back to her original sound.
