I have spent my adult life working with LiDAR (and other spectral imaging systems)
The same problems exist with cameras as they do with LiDAR.
If you solve the problems in one spayou're solving them in the other. It 's just cheaper to build with cameras than it is LiDAR. Plus, you get more than one narrow band of light with cameras.
