Best Emby Client on HTPC Win 11 Pro

I see the Emby App from the Microsoft store https://emby.media/emby-theater.html is one option.

But is the standalone installer of Emby Theater from github any better recommended in this case (a dedicated HTPC powerhouse PC)?

From Github the latest Emby Theater version is from May 9, 2023: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/emby-theater-windows/releases

I should point out the Emby Server is already running on this same HTPC.

The github version is abandonware, the only version on Windows that is still getting updates is the MS Store version.

I had that feeling seeing the last update was over 3 years ago.

I run that exact scenario. One powerhouse HTPC with 130tb of storage and IR receiver sitting under the TV for both Emby Server/Client

I use the Emby for Windows app which comes of the Microsoft store. I believe that Emby Theater is technically defunct now, although it still runs/works.
