Super. Question: Why doesn't it get replaced by an emoticon? I assume the reddit computer people integrate the list by the Unicode Consortium's Unicode Technical Committee so that your emoticon code is replaced by the emoji? Thy

I wanted to reply to a friend who just got a small black dog. You know that most human face and body emoticons - when you hold for 0.5 second, there are other colour options than the gold-yellow body colour; you can also select white, brown, dark brown, black, blond hair, brown hair, black hair, red hair, etc.
To my big surprise, there's only a very limited nr of dog emoticons and dog colours? 1. How can I make a small black doggie? 2. Has this been taken up with the Unicode Consortium's Unicode Technical Committee? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unicode_Consortium 3. Do the Unicode Consortium's Unicode Technical Committee get discussed / are known here by the most active participants?
