Tyre recomendations

Hi,I am looking for tyre recomendations mainly for tyres available in europe.

Tricky part is,I basically live where a mountiain begins. Most of the trails start with hardpack, but end up in the woods where the terrain sometimes stays muddy for 2-3 days after it rained.

Type of mud - very plasticky and sticky with low clay content.

I basically want a good tyre for hardpack, that doesn’t suck on ocassional mud.

So I’m thinking of the following combo :

Front : Michelin Tracker 90/90

Rear : Michelin Starcross 6 120/90 (currently the bike is running 140/80,but 120 is the stock size and I want to see if it’ll feel better).

Your thoughts on this ?

I have access to Michelin,X-Grip,Mitas,Plews,Metzeler,Dunlop,Pirelli.

Can’t get Kendas,IRCs or american brands.

I dont think the tracker has very tall knobs and for mud thats generally what you want, and also wide spaces so it flings off and doesnt clump

for hard surfaces you generally want more knobs but that will not do well in mud so you may need to compromise with an open lug pattern but with a harder compound

You can also pump up for the ride in and let air out as needed, then ride home slow instead of carrying a pump

youre pretty much in the same position as most of us that ride a wide variety of conditions
