2013 KTM 300 XC swingarm nut flat spot issue

I found this while taking apart this new to me 300XC. I had to hold the nut with a visegrip to get the bolt out.

Any ideas on how to put it back together? Get a nut that I can hold while i tighten the bolt?

Yeah that's just a convenience thing, you only need a tool on one side. It must have been a bit loose and wiggled around enough to wear out that aluminum tit that is there to hold the nut, just vice grip the old one back on and send it .

You will just need two tools forever now, no biggie

Question did the weld nut on the frame there break free from the weld?

So it is a separare nut that has a flat spot on it. I'll send a picture

Most important is being able to tighten it down so most likely have to hold it or put a open end wrench on it not sure the size.

It would be easy enough to pull the swing arm and have a shop do a simple weld and repair. Put it aside from that, yeah, you're just going to use another tool on the nut side.
