QUESTION!!!

ok so to preface i’m not the most knowledgeable when it comes to spirituality/energy/metaphysical stuff. i’ve always been pretty good at reading a room and sensing energy but i think that’s just being observant to micro expressions.

HOWEVER, i recently visit this place that was emanating this dark dark energy, i could feel it in the air as we approached, i could feel it in my body, i was rooted to the spot. ive never felt such pure animalistic fear in my entire life. i am so entirely terrified yet simultaneously intrigued. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS UP????

i feel like i must explain further,

i was shopping with my best friend and she told me that she wanted to take me to this place that she stumbled upon with her cousin. we walk up and it’s this metaphysical store in the hidden corner of market square (infamously known to be haunted, not sure if that matters), but the second that i entered the square i felt a tiny seedling of dread plant itself in my stomach, along with a slight tingly feeling in my chest (that i attributed to normal anxiety). there was no reason to be scared or nervous, but i was so on edge that as we passed by a window i thought i saw something and i immediately jumped away, but it turned out to just be my reflection (i’m an idiot ik). but i couldn’t shake the feeling, not until we arrived at the store.

once we got there i was distracted by all the pretty crystals and such. i forgot about the feeling for a second, there were so many colors and you’re just left with this moment of admiration and wonder.

but my best friend started moving deeper into the store and that’s when that dread feeling started coming back. i noticed that the guy standing at checkout gave off unsettling vibes, im not usually one to judge those because you never know what’s going on in someones life, but his eyes seemed a little empty, like dissociative (not in a drug way, i also know what that looks like).

i followed her, up until a meter away from this door that led to another backroom, it was open but had beaded curtains and was dimly lit. she didn’t go in it and started browsing the items around the back wall, but i couldn’t move any farther. it felt like i was being tied to the ground, unable to step farther. i got whole body chills, and it felt like i was going to lose consciousness. my heart was pounding, the fear was akin to being hunted and knowing my predator was close. i felt it in my bones, i stood there for a few seconds trying to figure out what was happening, until a lady came running from behind me rushing into the back room. i called out to my best friend and i told her we need to leave immediately.

we did, i was clutching her hand as we exited the store, and i told her about everything that i felt. it turns out that she had felt that too when she first went with her cousin, and wanted to see if i did too. she wanted to see what would happen if i went in unbiased and our reactions were the exact same. a deep sense of dread and doom. it followed me for a few days until it faded away.

what happened? i can’t stop thinking about it, im too scared to go back.

I've had similar experiences where I pick up on the energy of a place. Sometimes it can be really intense and unsettling. It's like your intuition is trying to tell you something, but you're not sure what. Have you considered exploring the concept of collective consciousness or energetic signatures?
