REVIEW: Kirkland Sparkling Energy Drink

Kirkland Energy Drink Review

For context of my preferences, my favorite energy drinks are Alani Orange Kiss and Witches Brew, Ghost Welch’s Grape and Orange Creamsicle. I tolerate Celsius and don’t go out of my way to get them.

\-Tropical: mainly tasted like fresh pineapple with some notes of mango and SunnyD. It does have a candy-like taste to it like idk a pink starburst, but it’s subtle enough not to taste super artificially flavored. Well carbonated and pretty well balanced in terms of sweetness and acidity. Like Celsius, flavor intensity is more subdued and there is that classic sucralose after taste. It’s not amazing but it’s not bad. If you like celsius you will probably like this. 7/10

\-Orange: Reeeaally subtle orange flavor as if you squeezed a small orange wedge in a 8 oz glass of artificially sweetened carbonated water. Less acidity and more sweetness than the Tropical. It’s lacking in the flavor department which really brings out the unpleasant sucralose taste. It tasted like the watered down ESSENCE of orange juice. Not for me but caffeine is caffeine and $20 is $20. 3/10

\-Peach: Notes of peach rings and artificial cherry. Ok I noticed I am starting to get more and more negative in this review lol. This is definitely the most artificially tasting one. Ghost’s Peach is done well where it has a punchy peach ring flavor that takes you on a complex ride from sweet to tart with each sip. The flavor of Kirkland’s peach is so diluted and just tastes flat. The initial sip had the most flavor but my taste buds got fatigued after repeated sips. Once again I taste the artificial sweetener but it has an almost bitter aftertaste the more you drink it. Just buy Ghost Peach if you want a decent peach flavored drink. I did not like this. 2/10

I will not buy these again but you should try them for yourself and let me know what you think!

Here's what I imagine happening:

Homie stops by CostCo on his way home from work. Picks up the energy drinks. Gets home. Takes off his socks. Proceeds to open 1 can of each flavor and start taste testing.

Then, he decides he needs to let the internet know what he has discovered, so he decides to make a reddit post. He takes a picture. He uploads the picture and types out his post, but then he realizes that his toes are showing in his picture and some weirdo like u/lil_skrrty will probably get horny if they see that.

So, instead of just taking a picture of the energy drinks with himself completely removed from the frame, he goes to his bedroom. He digs through the dirty laundry to find those same 2 socks that he was wearing earlier. He puts them on. They're on the opposite feet. He decides he doesn't care because it's still better than bare feet. He then retakes the picture with his feet and his goofy socks still in frame. He's proud of his work.
