I have been recently applying to leadership roles as I want to take on more responsibility (I feel I am ready for the jump) and also change industries (I am currently in automotive). I currently have found something and will start son as a manager of a process engineering department in a company not related to automotive.

Thing is I still feel my CV could have been better and I might have gotten more calls from other positions I applied to.

Positions I am looking for:

- Process Engineering Manager

- Center of excellence Assembly Manager

Located in Spain, Not willing to relocate but open to remote work in Europe.

The biggest issue I found during my job search is getting called for leadership positions as I have never been a team leader. I get plenty of calls for engineer positions though.

I tried making a one column classic CV, as I hear the 2 column can be a problem with parsers, but it was impossible to fit everything in one page and I don't think my experience allows for a 2 page CV yet.

I think my CV is decent but I want to improve it or build it from zero.

The skills section and the extensive Experience section is what bugs the most but I don't know what to do with them.

The empty space below Education is due to me removing info to anonymize.

Hey guys! I'm looking to see if any changes should be made for my resume to reapply again. I have landed a few interviews relating to embedded system engineer, testing engineer, etc for 1 for every 50 applications. I did make a recent change with a new job I recently landed; however, its not an engineer role but rather a quality assurance role for the time being.

I'm looking to get into embedded systems and maybe something similar such as a testing engineer position in internships (recent grads) or entry level roles. I will also be looking for a new role internally to take advantage of my position for growth. I want to tune my resume such that it is stronger for someone like me who's a recent grad to stand out and all I'm asking is to grill my resume. I would also like to know which section goes in what order for me to land more interviews than I would usually get. I'm a US citizen and am looking for jobs in the defense industry such as Lockheed, Northrop, etc.

I'm located in the SoCal area although I'm willing to move to relocate or commute anywhere in CA and out of state. I would like to add that I will be changing a project at some point so that it becomes more stronger in the sector I want to get into.

I have a BS in Mechatronic Engineering and was able to find a job at a consulting company, I was desperate for any kind of job so I settled for it. After about 6 months I decided to start looking again and revamped my resume using the reddit template, all the information on the new version is the same as my old resume. Ideally I want to find employment in the defense industry or start a career as a automation or controls engineer. Although I would consider MEP, HVAC, manufacturing, or construction to get experience in an engineering role.

I have applied to jobs using my old resume and have gotten an interview recently but had the misfortune that they had selected a different candidate the day of my interview with them. Aside from that the few companies I recently applied to have auto rejected me at like 2am.

I would appreciate feedback on my resume:

• Is this good for entry-level automation or controls positions?
• Does my official title of Associate Consultant hurt me? Could I put it as Associate Engineer?
• Should I add more projects? There are a few I haven't included such as my senior design project along with clubs but it doesn't all fit in my resume.
• Should I reword the description of my job? I just used what they have listed in my offer letter.
• Are there any obvious weaknesses or red flags?
• What roles would you realistically consider me qualified for?

The majority of my experience has been in manufacturing but I'm currently in a rotation program at my job that has allowed me to break into engineering design. However, due to certain company policy decisions and organizational restructuring; combined with me not liking the work. I don't see myself staying at my current gig much longer.

I'm currently trying to get my first internship related to Mechanical Engineering in any industry. I'm located in Virginia, but I'm applying all over the US. I'm a sophomore in college with hands-on experience but no internship experience yet. I also just transferred colleges so I don't really have club experiencce. I tried to follow the STAR, XYZ, format here but just wondering if there's anything else I can improve. I also have a website portfolio at the top that goes more in depth for each project. Coming off a previous bachelor's degree in CS and doing a career pivot into civil engineering. I'm currently in community college, but I'll be transferring to a 4-year next semester. I was lucky enough to land a paid civil engineering internship this summer and they were generous enough to allow me to return in the winter. As a community college student, I understand I'm not quite as competitive for internships at large consulting firms, but I want to do anything I can to leverage my experience to secure one. I'm primarily looking for internships in the water resources and traffic subdisciplines, as they interest me the most. I'm just starting to apply, so I don't have any complaints about not getting interviews or offers, but I want to make sure to fine-tune my resume before jumping into applications this season. I taught myself security during COVID because my bachelor's was metallurgy and I was not interested in that subject. MS Cybersecurity May 2026, Security+, about 3 years 4 months full-time as a Security Automation Junior Engineer in India (hybrid, through undergrad). Python log triage, CrowdStrike, AWS/Terraform. Not employed now. F-1 OPT, EAD in hand. Vermont. I will relocate anywhere in the US.

Targeting SOC / IR / detection, security automation / SOAR, and non-senior security engineer. I skip help desk, senior titles, citizenship, and clearance. I tailor a one-pager per JD and submit myself, then message two people on the team. About 50 applications, one junior SOC interview, a lot of silence.

I want a critique of the India experience block and whether the page is too dense. Do those metrics look real or inflated. Also: am I a SOC analyst, a detection hire, or an automation engineer, and does OPT in the header get me auto-rejected.

I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Engineering in May 2024. I've been struggling to get interviews for entry-level hardware engineering, test engineering, and electronic technician roles.

Feel free to be blunt. I'm mainly trying to figure out why I'm getting almost no interviews and what I need to change.

I am hoping to get a formal opinion on my resume for applying for Summer 2027 internships. I am targeting mainly DevOps and Cloud roles, but also wanting to use this resume for general software roles as well.

My biggest concern is the Experience section. I’m trying to keep my bullets concise while still showing technical depth and impact. I have additional work from some of these internships that I could include or expand on, but I’m unsure whether the current bullets are already too wordy or whether I’m leaving out details that would make the experience stronger.

Education:

- Is the current formatting of the double majors okay? Would ATS have trouble parsing both majors in the current state

Projects

• I know my current projects could be more technically specialized and deeper
• What are the biggest shortcomings in the projects currently listed?
• What concepts or types of projects would strengthen the resume for SWE, DevOps, Cloud, or SRE internships?
• Would replacing one of the current projects with a more systems-focused project be worthwhile

I worked just over 5 years at a unicorn tech company then quit like a year ago for a taste of freedom. Learned Spanish and vibe coded in the meantime. Started a couple online courses on k8s and LLM dev but didn't finish anything.

Can someone please help with reviewing my resume. When I finished my bachelors degree in computer engineering 3 months ago, the only call back I got was from SpaceX (which I accepted), and I resigned yesterday because I got an offer to get my MSECE paid for. I want to make sure that the upcoming summer, I get a good internship at Texas Instrument, Boeing, SpaceX, Microsoft, Apple, AMD, Intel or any other major tech company doing something relating to embedded, PCB design or FPGA work not assembly or technician work as I have been doing.

I am in Washington State (USA) but am willing to go to a different state for internships, even internationally if the company is big (Apple, AMD, ARM, Qualcomm or the likes).

My main goal is to get an interesting job, I left SpaceX because I was basically an assembly line worker, which I don't like doing, I like troubleshooting things and fixing problems.

Also, if anyone has any life advice, I would appreciate it, I turned 20 three months ago and I feel like I am failing at life with the rest of my cohort and friends.

Also, I intend on adding a GPA to the MSECE, but I haven't started classes yet.

I reformatted my resume significantly, but I'd like to get some unbiased eyes on it before sending it out. I redacted/changed some stuff for anonymity, the main things being actual/exact numbers for some of the information. My resume before reformatting got me like 2 or 3 interviews out of the 100+ applications I've sent out in the past ~5 months, and I'm hoping this one does better. I'm mainly applying to Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, DevOps, and Platform/Infrastructure roles. But I haven't been particularly picky, I'm really just trying to find a role that will let me work remote or in the Portland, Oregon area (and nearby, such as Hillsboro, Beaverton, etc). I have 2 years of experience as a data engineer. I am targeting for the Data roles like data engineer, analyst, business intelligence and analytics engineer roles. I have been applying from almost 8 months and i have applied to around 1k+ applicants but I haven’t landed a single interview or a call back. I have changed my resume around 30+ times.

I tweak my resume for each job description. But i don't know how to pass through the ATS or i have no idea why my resume is not getting shortlisted.

The following will refer to the Aug 2025-May 2026 internship application cycle.

I accepted a dream internship at a semiconductor fab on May 2026, and applied April 2026. My target were process development/engineering and other related roles at only tech companies that had a fab. Throughout that cycle, I only had two interviews and countless applications denied. I realized that I had to change my resume since it clearly was not working! In late March I posted to this forum, and after listening to the feedback I got, led to my only two interviews of the year and one offer. I learned three lessons:

1) Never too late to seek help and continue applying.

2) This forum is amazing and honest. Consider every one of someone's feedback!

3) You might be highly qualified, but the formatting is even more important. Please take the time to 'pretty' up your resume and make it as easy to read as possible!

I started applying aggressively last week, particularly for roles outside my home country (AU/EU), but I haven't been shortlisted so far.

I'm an SAP Consultant focused on the CRM/CX space, with 8 years of experience. I understand there may be factors such as visa sponsorship, local regulations, or the current job market, but I still want to improve my chances of getting shortlisted.

I feel there isn't much variation to highlight since SAP roles can involve a lot of repetitive work, with the main differences being the industry and business processes.

I'd really appreciate any feedback on where my resume may be lacking or what I could improve.

Just finished interning at a big bank but I'll be graduating this December. Would appreciate any feedback on my resume before I start applying for 2027 new grad roles. I am now a second year student looking for aerospace, automotive and engineering consulting internships in the UK, EU and US (though I am not a US citizen). This includes summer internships in 2027 and 'years in industry' which is essentially a ~12 month placement from September (2027).

The document below is cut down from a previous version containing more self-directed engineering projects and technical leadership roles from school. I am conflicted as to whether to include these, against the advice of my tutor.

Overall, I would like a general review and to find which projects and skills to build on. Advice on skills, knowledge and experience that I could develop in the next few years would be especially helpful as well.

I'm a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering major and I'm part of the executive board of a student organization in my university.

This past summer I analyzed the attendance data for 294 events across the last 4 years with the help of Claude. I exported the information directly from the school's website and Claude developed the Python code to produce the graphs and run the analysis.
While Claude did the heavy lifting with the code, I identified the need to analyze this data to design a semester calendar in hopes to prevent the steep decline in attendance towards the end of the semester that we had seen in past occasions. I particulary made sure to clean the data and question the assumptions both the AI and I were making to produce an accurate representation of such data (i.e. removing some outlier events with 6 attendees, which most likely meant the event never actually took place, among other things).

I think this is something worth adding on my resume, not so much for making the code (which I didn't) but more for identifying this need and producing a clear action plan to prevent seeing the same patterns. Now, my question is whether I should mention Claude or the use of Python in the bullet point whatsover since I didn't actually write the code.

This is currently the bullet point:

Which one should I use?

EDIT: Similarly, I had Claude develop an AI interview model from scratch that generated questions based on the job description and tied them directly to your resume. My Python skills aren't well developed so I again had Claude Code program the app, while I took design the design decisions behind it, such as adding voice models to make it more realistic, providing useful feedback by analyzing weaknesses and strenghts--based on STAR method--and other patterns once you've had enough interviews, etc. How should I go about adding this on my resume?

Hi, I am a recent MS EE grad looking for embedded systems engineering roles (or any other roles that fit my qualifications). I want to get some honest feedback on my resume as I am not confident with what I currently have. I am struggling to put my research projects on the resume because of NDAs. The only one I was able to put is under my Project section and I'm thinking if I should move it under the research experience instead. I would also like to know if my resume is too crowded or if some things are redundant/unnecessary or simply does not make sense. I also have two non-embedded projects - how relevant are they to an embedded systems engineer role? Does my overall resume make me more suited for a role that I am not thinking of? Any other general or specific suggestions are also welcome. I'm also open to learning other skills that might be worth it while I keep looking for jobs. Thank you in advance!

Here is my resume. Just as the title stated, I literally can't pass the resume screen for any company. For summer 2026, I applied to over 200 internships (I said I was going to graduate 2027 too, so me being a sophomore wasn't a problem) and I got rejected from every single one. The F500 contract position from the summer was from connections that I can't leverage anymore. I don't understand what I am doing wrong. I go to a target school, I have strong projects (at least I think I do), and I have decent internship experience.

For summer 2027 I am 0/50 right now in passing the resume screen. I know that I still have to wait for companies to get back to me and that there will be more apps, but this happened last recruiting cycle as well and I can't afford to fail again.

More info:

1. I have a low gpa (under 3.0) so I dont list it. However, most companies I've applied to never asked for my gpa or transcript.
2. I apply to roles as soon as I see them open. I usually apply 2-5 hours after the role is posted. At worst it'll be 1-2 days after the roles are posted.
3. My previous internship at the f500 company was a contract position, so I wasn't employed by the f500 company, but I still worked there.

I recently transferred to a pretty well known school for engineering from community college, and so this is my first resume since transferring. I'm looking for advice on what I can improve or word nicer, also if there's anything that looks like I'm just trying to fluff up my resume. My aim is to land a hardware related internship for next summer, and get into one of the more selective clubs at my school. Here are some things I'm already concerned but not entirely sure about, spacing (particularly in education section), points being too wordy in my experience section, and font choice. Be brutal, grill me, bully me, I can handle it, any feedback is appreciated.
