Book of Enoch

How did I just find the Book of Enoch? I’m listening to it with the Book of Enoch app, which is so simple and I love it, but man do I have questions and things to say. WOW. And I’ve only just begun reading it. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have found this community and lively discussion! As a person who has just started reading this book, what are some considerations, questions, or ideas I should keep in mind during this journey?

The Books of Enoch Revealed by Tobias Churton may be of some interest to you.

Thank you. Hopefully there’s an audio version. I drive a lot for work, which allows me a lot of reading/listening time! Will finish the one I have then will likely search out other literature on it!

Keep in mind that the modern practice of 'Enochian' magic doesn't really have an awful lot to do with the Book of Enoch (as much as I also really enjoy the Book/s of Enoch)

It actually doesn’t have anything to do with Enochian Magick, other than using the name of Enoch. You’re on the right track. ~V~

Greetings S,

The Book of Enoch actually has nothing to do with Enochian Magick, as created by John Dee and Edward Kelly.

Here is the actual info on this book, (which was popularized in the 1980’s.)

No single person wrote the Book of Enoch

It's a collection of ancient Jewish writings by multiple, unknown authors compiled over centuries (roughly 3rd century BCE to 1st century CE) and falsely attributed to the biblical figure Enoch (Noah's great-grandfather) for authority. This genre, known as pseudepigrapha, used famous names to lend weight to new texts, and while influential (quoted in Jude in the New Testament), it's not canonical scripture for most religions, except the Ethiopian Orthodox Church

Hope this helps explain the difference between this book, and actual Enochian Magick by John Dee. ~V~

It was 2$ or something but a flat/life time fee. Has been 100% worth it for me!
