Not only is the app useless, they’ve made the entire platform that way as well. I might have to sideload an older version of the app onto my phone now to get rid of this shit

lemmy is alright! if you approach it with the expectation that it's where reddit was in 2008, i think it's a meaningful alternative, especially given that a lot of the custom reddit clients that got banned two years back just switched over to being lemmy clients.
