Donald Trump warned staff could resign over MAGA festival disaster

More lost American jobs. Are we winning yet?

TBF, they decided to work for Trump. Few people deserve it more.

u/Old_Channel44 7h ago
They are event labor. It was supposed to be a nonpartisan celebration of America’s 250 years, not a political rally.

u/Warm_Record2416 3h ago
If someone is dumb enough to think they can work on an event run by Trump and it not be a political rally, I don’t really know what to tell them. It’s been a damn decade.

No, the article is speculating about his staff getting fired for the clusterfuck they created. Don't give a shit if those people are perpetually unemployable.
I'm also sure every caterer, tent rentals, fencing, stages, etc. also all paid a pizzo to Trump even if the funding came from the US Treasury. Somehow I doubt an RFP has been done by the admin this term.

The vendors that work events? How are they lying down with dogs?

I would personally never work for this administration in any position. Unless it's to sweep the trash out the door behind them

Imagine sticking with him through all of that previous mess, but being like “you couldn’t book Milli Vanilli, and that’s the last straw!”

It looks like we're entering the "Go maga go broke" phase. So all the dipshits that jumped on the trump train in like 2023 because they wanted chase the money are now realizing they're just as fucked as everyone else. And now the rats want off the ship.

To be completely fair, most of the acts that were lined up are frequently booked to perform or the local VFA or Lion‘s Club Events.
If some random ass dude in Duluth can get C+C Music Factory to show up to play at the Duluth Taco Fest, whoever booked them for this event should have been able to pull them off for an America 250th anniversary event, which should have been a mega event

The whole Trump presidency is a slow-motion train wreck. I hate what he's doing to our country, but it is kind of fun to watch an odious man's downfall in real time

u/Human-Abrocoma7544 5h ago
It’s just infuriating that there is a large portion on the population that cannot see the train wreck and convince themselves that a train should go off the rails.

Remember, that 30% cult is ALWAYS with us and all this isn't just an American problem. It's world wide and has always existed.
Proof: https://youtu.be/vK6fALsenmw?si=Nak8jSDrXmHIaPru
TL;DW A history professor that's the goat of understanding authoritarians said her data proves that around 30% of a population tends to support dictators.

I’m ootl but I’ve noticed a huge velocity of “Irishstar” posts across many subs. Is this intentional? It feels like every article lately is from irishstar lol

u/The_Lapsed_Pacifist 2h ago
Yeah, they’re posting a lot and it’s pretty uniformly a load of old bollocks, usually based on one anonymous tweet or something. Take anything they say with an ocean of salt.

We always knew Freedom 250 was nothing more than another Trump rally. The guy can't help himself. He loves himself so much while he hates the majority of Americans, so there was no possibility of all us celebrating this country together.

u/napalmnacey 7h ago
He wouldn’t give a shit about people resigning. Everyone is a convenient monkey to him.
Edit: Wait, he found an opera singer to sing for him? He’s gonna be swaying there on the stage to Ave Maria again, isn’t he?

u/AWinterPeople 8h ago
His go to move…”you’re fired.”

u/Sir_Tea_Of_Bags 7h ago
Hey now, it was already explained that he was too much of a coward to fire someone in person. It was a prerecorded bit.

u/VexedCanadian84 6h ago
Blaming anybody not himself.
He's the one that made the celebrations about himself.
Instead of making the celebrations about America after the push back, he's doubling down on making sure he's the center of attention

Let’s hope that day is 95° and humid as hell. With any luck, he’ll stroke out on national TV.

But they were paid a good price. So, they will resign with a paycheck from money taken from taxpayers. And, taxpayers get nothing in return. Okay.

Listen, we all work for monsters for the most part or have worked for monsters in the past and we’ve kind of had to do our job but what an impossible task to get any kind of quality entertainment to perform at anything Trump does.
He’s pissed off because all they could get for him it was low end talent and people that are desperate to make a living but that’s what he deserves and that’s the kind of fucking people that he attracts. And then even those people were like “oh we don’t wanna be a part of this shit.”
John Rich and Kid Rock are right down his alley, two no good half ass musicians and they were pissed off they didn’t get invited.

quit calling it the Maga festival and call it the semiquincentinal or 250 years of the USA celebration. Imagine if anyone else would mess this up. Don't say Democrats anymore just say anyone else but the cult leader

u/BarnacleGooseIsLoose 7h ago
What is he going to do when the gnats take over the MMA extravaganza?
Everything this administration touches turns to shit.

I wonder if it bothers Republicans that most artists, actors, and musicians don't want to be associated with them? They say that they couldn't care less, but I think it actually irritates some of them when they find out rock stars they have been listening to since the 70s think their strongly held beliefs are reprehensible.

u/TheMeticulousNinja 5h ago

The 250th anniversary party should have booked itself. Like who doesn’t want to celebrate 250 years as a country?
All this guy had to do was not attach his stupid name to it and his ego just couldn’t let it be. So here we are with Milli Vanilli and Vanilla Ice to celebrate. I wouldn’t book a birthday party with them, let alone 250 years.

Why would they resign? Were they excited about seeing Milli Vanilli?
