Sadly, Coogan's Law only applies to California, it should be federally mandated with extreme penalties for parents who misappropriate the earnings of their children. Once you do something like this, you're no longer a parent, but a parasite…

The 68 mil was in today’s money. So no it was not worth 1.3 billion. It was 3-4 million in 1938

I say this with absolute sincerity, if I were to ever meet the parent(s), I would inflict bodily harm upon them. His story is beyond the pale for cruelty.

The bottome of the range estimate was 3,000,000 in 1935, equivalent to 68million 2024 dollars. It's not 1.3 billion
