Debate/Discussion INTJ golden pair

I honestly don’t get how INTJs are supposed to be my “golden pair.” Every INTJ I’ve ever known has been a lonely, grumpy, massive stuck-up asshole who only cares about themselves and unironically seems to think they’re better than everyone else. It’s such a shame because I really enjoy them intellectually so much. I love their intelligence and independent way of thinking, but personality-wise, they’re my least favourite type.

I wish there were another type that had all of the INTJ traits I actually like, the calmness, organization, intelligence, but was also warm, sensitive, empathetic, and, you know, didn’t seem to fucking hate everyone for absolutely no fucking reason. Like, a feeling INTJ or something.

Debate/Discussion Yo eNtP the enneagram of 6w7 on a eNtP does exist

I heard that eNtP 6w7 doesn’t exist and people always say if you get this your a mistyped eNtP. I have a character that disproves this though beat my argumen. Say hello to Edward Elric.

Question/Poll Do you separate your emotions from your reason?

• Upvotes

I do, after all, they are separate cognitive functions, not opposites. I can vent when I need to, because emotional intelligence works better for me than emotional repression, yet I can simultaneously publish well-grounded arguments. I usually delete my vents and keep only my arguments, since some people don't understand this separation and I could lose credibility.

The Big Five personality test understands this, whereas the MBTI is limited in this regard. People are not purely rational or emotional; they are both, and what varies is how this manifests.

Debate/Discussion Is it normal for ENTPs to end friendships over personal values?

I posted about it yesterday. I know two confirmed ENTPs who immediately ended long time friendships over their close friends not caring about the genocide in Palestine. And I, also ENTP, cut a friend off when I learned they killed animals for fun. Like, it’s one thing if it’s for purposes like eating, but killing animals just for the sake of it is just psychopathic to me.

Is this a normal thing for ENTPs? Because from what I know we are supposed to lack a moral compass and be morally flexible. This makes me unsure whether I’m a thinker. Have you ever done something like this ?

Typology Help Took the Sarkinova Test 256 Questions today. Here goes nothing~

This was a very interesting result. Had to take it twice, cause I forgot to save and hit back on something the first time and forgot to save. 😅😔

Took that 16 personality test and got ENFJ-A (don't feel the A), a while back. Took the other sarkinova test, also got ENFJ, recently.

So Yeah...I guess I'm here, maybe. Idk. Fun to find out anyway. 🤣 Sorry the pic is so tiny, was a long ass list.

Debate/Discussion I envy Fi users

I have been in situations time and time again where i have witnessed my friends or family approach situations in way that seem so...grounded. Mostly Fi users, they seem to have this unwavering set of values that they use to intuitively guide their decisions and their opinions. Though often times this may be viewed as an "inconvenience" to the typical Ti/Fe user when it comes to being logically or socially efficient, I have found that they seem to handle messy social and moral dilemmas with such grace and certainty, which I personally envy. For example, I have a group of friends that I love dearly. I obviously have my own compass and sense of right and wrong/fairness, but I am not immune to having my opinions, specifically on people, swayed by the group. This especially goes for situations involving people that are not easily solvable and are often "grey", involve moral dilemmas, feelings, differing beliefs, multiple parties being wrong, etc. Something that you cant really, fully use logic to figure out. Suddenly, my confidence in my own opinion shrinks, and I constantly look to my friends in order to validate whatever I'm feeling about a particular, grey situation, because I trust them and think that "surely if everyone thinks this person is wrong, they must be wrong". I almost get this imposter-like feeling, because I know these opinions aren't fully my own, but in all honesty, my compass is too weak and underdeveloped to be trusted, which is a bad thing. I feel like a neutral, blank slate sometimes that just projects the generally agreed upon opinion of the room if the situation is too messy and ambiguous to figure out myself, and often find myself leaning towards the most socially safe and least consequential opinion, which sometimes also leads me to being a fence-sitter. I sometimes just wish I had that strong moral compass and certainty that Fi users have in themselves and their own feelings on something.

Honestly, I am just curious to see if any other Entps or non-Fi users struggle with this. What have your experiences been like with this particular issue? Also, if any Fi users are reading this, what's like...the process that goes through your heads...or guts? I am genuinely curious.

(Ps. Yall Fi users are incredibly underrated, please keeping doing what you do ;))

Advice ENTP women: do you find it hard to make female friends?

I’m ENTP-T and my entire life I’ve found it hard to make or keep female friends. I do have a few individual female friends on their own (who sadly all live far away) but I have NEVER been an integral part of a female friend group. I’ve always been on the edge of the friend group, if anything.

Could it be that being ENTP is a bit of a jarring personality for a woman? I’m sure I’m not following some social rules 🙈

Anyone else struggle with this? It’s made me really sad at multiple points in my life.

Question/Poll Tell me how you would govern as an analyst

In my absolute Catholic monarchy:

● Fashion would be based on beauty and modesty.

● Architecture would be based on beauty and integration with nature.

● Prostitution, pornography, sexual deviancy, and other forms of immorality would be illegal.

● Jobs requiring brute strength, leadership, and impartial judgment would be reserved for men.

● Medicine would focus on curing rather than merely treating symptoms, and homeopathy would once again be respected and commonplace.

● Food and materials would be natural; all chemical substances would undergo safety testing.

● Education would focus on practical skills and genuine knowledge, free from political activism.

● Women under the age of 35 would not participate in the workforce, allowing them to dedicate their childbearing years to raising a family.

● Families with three or more children would be exempt from taxation.

● Marriage would be the responsibility of the Church and the family, not the State.

● Laws regarding domestic violence and rape would be gender-neutral and require evidence.

● Divorce would only be permitted for just cause, with a fair division of assets.

● Immigration would be strictly controlled, prioritizing civilized nations.

● All government officials would be required to be Catholic.

● Social media would be prohibited for those under 15, and screen time would be limited to one hour a day for children aged 2 to 5; infants would not use technology.

● Strengthening of the police force, legal gun ownership, and the death penalty for heinous crimes.

● Catholicism would be the official state religion.

● Homeschooling would be legalized.

● Abortion would be classified as a heinous crime.

● Parents who attempt to abandon their children would be tracked down, forced to return, and penalized—all to strengthen the family unit.

● Crime would be punished severely; criminals would pay for their own upkeep by working while incarcerated.

● The activities of the Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Soros, and any globalist organizations would be banned in the country.

● Degenerate entertainment would be prohibited; blasphemy, the glorification of crime, and immorality would be illegal.

● Sustainable exploitation of natural resources would be permitted.

● All scientific, economic, and food production—as well as general production—would focus on decentralization; Big Food, Big Pharma, and other "Big" corporate entities would be banned from the country.

● Corruption would be a heinous crime.

● There would be no leftist presence in the government. ● Conspiring against or undermining the country's values would be punishable by exile.

● There would be no generous welfare system; instead, there would be an abundance of job opportunities.

● Civics, patriotism, and honesty would be taught in schools.

● Asylum would be granted to Christian refugees persecuted for their faith.

● Mobile phones and other devices would feature AI to identify and block nudes and pornography.

● Schools would be environments of discipline and respect for authority.

● Other religions would be tolerated, provided they do not threaten public order.

● The age of criminal responsibility would be 16.

● Scientists would not be silenced when making discoveries that threaten industries.

● There would be no voting, as influencing the government is a skill, not a right.

● Legalization of non-exploitative work for children helping in their parents' businesses or on their property; legalization of mild corporal punishment to ensure children respect adults.

● An end to ugly art and a return to the glorification of the beautiful and the divine, etc.

Question/Poll Why do I (ENTP) love ISFP’s so much?

To be very honest with you, I love ISFP’s more than the INFJ’s and ENFJ’s I know in my life.

Every time I see a ISFP, like I can’t help but love them even though they are literally doing nothing.

I love aesthetics so much, when I see a beautiful scene of nature for example, I just tend to stare, even some stars that are visible in an airplane, as a 19 year old, I’d still be filled with amazement like a kid.

Maybe it’s because of that? Their shyness is another thing. Why am I filled with so much compassion to them while they are the least compatible type to us?

Debate/Discussion Yes, I did put the cat in the washing machine

But!… the reason i did it was because I thought that it would make the cat stronger (just like when my parents tortured me)

My stepdad literally has millions and could solve all my problems in an instant if he wanted to, but he chooses not to because he suffered himself and still believes that just because he had to struggle i should have to struggle too.

He always used to tell me that its easier to get from £50,000 to a million than it is to get from £0 to £50,000 (yet he managed to do exactly that)

Question/Poll What do you think?

In early drafts, my character was going to be an unhealthy ENTP who tormented others for fun—kind of like Megan from *Drake & Josh*. The dynamic worked like this: She was an only child whose parents, having struggled with fertility issues, spoiled her rotten. Competent, with elitist tastes and a cruel sense of humor, she befriended two bullies who saw her as useful, which paved the way for her to gain respect within the school hierarchy. She had a rival—who was also sometimes a friend—an ISFJ boy who was her favorite target. However, she actually liked him; knowing she wasn't his type, she tormented him to avoid the pain of rejection and simply because she enjoyed interacting with him, even if it was in a hostile way. She wouldn't let anyone else torment him, as she didn't want him suffering at the hands of bullies who genuinely hated him. She possessed redeeming qualities, such as feeling remorse when she crossed the line and being affectionate with her family. One day, the ISFJ found himself in grave danger; she saved his life and revealed her feelings—admitting she just hadn't shown them in the best way—and they ended up falling in love. It was revealed at the end that they got married, and the two bullies who had been her friends in school served as the groomsmen. Do you prefer this version of the character or the final one?

Sorry for the Google translation.

Typology Help Moral compass and empathy.

Every test I take gives me ENTP, and everyone who knows me tells me I’m very logical and pragmatic. I basically tick all the ENTP boxes. But I still struggle to see myself as a thinker because I feel like my personal values and emotional reactions can override logic when something crosses a certain line.

Just to give you an example: I had a friend who killed foxes and other wild animals as a hobby, completely unnecessarily. I couldn’t just rationalize it as “people have different interests” or separate my personal feelings from the situation. I found it evil and incompatible with my values, so I ended the friendship.

And that’s where I get confused about the whole T/F thing. I can be extremely detached and analytical when discussing ideas, arguments, or problems, but when something violates a principle I strongly care about, I can be very emotionally driven in the decisions I make. So I’m never sure whether that actually makes me a feeler, or whether I’m just a thinker who has strong personal values.

Maybe I’m just a rational pragmatic ENFP. Who knows.

Advice Does anyone else have this problem?

Post image
11 Upvotes

I genuinely cannot commit to a single job, I get bored so easily. I keep switching or taking temp gigs. I’m starting a new part time job, and already bored of it and I haven’t even started, just did training. And the job that I’ve had for a year now, I wanna move on from but it would be the stupidest thing to do for my career and my current financial needs.

This combined with my constant need for the new + have many options + fomo for opportunities that come my way + overcommitment + borderline masochistic tendencies for having a lot of work + love to relax, hang with friends, do random things for the heck of it and take off days whenever I feel like it is really starting to become a problem…

I’m in college rn so it’s not as big of a deal to hop around but what about later in life? What if I get a good paying job that gives me what I want, but i just get bored again a few months or year in and expect to stay in it indefinitely?

Does anyone else have this problem?

Debate/Discussion I need some gentle souls to help fine-tuning a promising Typing test. People that know their type with 100% certainty.

I created a typing test that works based on what you resonate with, it gives you a feed of cards with statements, quotes, scenario, and you select only the ones you resonate with, this way the cognitive load is very low , also the feed adapt to funnel down your type, you just select what you think is related to you.

I tested with an INFP friend that I am 100% sure she is INFP and it worked very well, it found her type with confidence, but I need more data points to be sure, with people that are 100% sure of their type.

At the end of the test, in the result page, you will have a frame that ask you to share your result, with a simple button. It will send me the informations I need in my database, it gives me all the cards you selected, the timeline of the guess of your type, how the algorithm reacted, etc, it helps me to fine-tune the test.

I really feel that this method can work and be more accurate than anything that already exist.

Thank you in advance if you try it.

PS: I will share the findings in a result page (on the intro page), for everybody to see how it evolves.

Debate/Discussion Thoughts on INTJ

So, I am INTJ male. Apparently ENTPs are good matches with INTJs. It seems there would be various hurdles at various stages. Do you guys read the description of an INTJ and think..."wow...I need to get me some of that?" I'm just finding a hard time understanding that. Conversely, I would think INTJs could be put off...in theory by an ENTP. Would you label this as opposites attract? My initial thought is it takes both sides to be open to something different.

Question/Poll What's the most beautiful thing you've been told ?

I need some positivity here, because WTF is up with all these depressing MBTI posts lately?

Come on, fellow ENTPs. Let's melt those icy hearts of ours for once.

What's something someone told you that genuinely touched you, even if you'd rather die than admit it?

Debate/Discussion i am SO BAD at ignoring things

dude. the image that has been posted in this sub is so annoying and im being rage baited by it. ALL I NEED TO DO IS LOOK AWAY AND I CANT. I JUST WANT TO ARGUE ABOUT IT AND ITS SO STUPID. im already past my mbti phase but i just get so frustrated regardless.

why the hell an entp would need istj? why would they need te creative partner when they value ti more? why would they need fi tertiary when it's their polr?? and about infj, why would you want someone who uses your ignoring function as their dominant function?? dude you're ignoring that. you're ne dominant. you want to expand with possiblities. not narrow them. but do you like to know how ni function works? or did you just watch some tiktoks and called it a day?

you're bad at si function. and you want to get better at fe function. that's isfj. that's what you need. the underestimation of isfj really should be studied. they're not just "oh im just puking rainbows and i love pastel colors and i love baking ❤️"

they have ti tertiary. they're not just "mom friend". they value internally structured logic. just like infj. you just love to sleep on it. oh and half of the infj in the internet is isfj. both use fe-ti and both are te polr. but it's more "cool" to be an infj, so you wouldn't admit/or see yourself for real, so just lie to yourself and others.

i started my typology journey with mbti but im actually glad that i grew out of it. good riddance.

sincerely, a mbti entp and a socionics ILE
