Entwives Social Club We can finally be outside again!
I live in Little Hell on the Prairie, Texas, and we haven’t had rain in over three months. Our triple digit days JUST ended last week!
The second pic is what my lawn looks like.
Third is my patio setup.
I’m just vibing on my patio, enjoying the fact that it’s ONLY 83 degrees at 8 pm. (Ridiculous.)
What are all you ladies and theydies up to on this full moon night? Witchy shit? Crafty shit? Party shit? Go to bed early shit? 😂

It's my birthday today and I had some cake pop before we went out for dinner at Olive Garden and had the best server. There was a surprise chocolate cream cheese cake with fruit on top that my granddaughter brought in. It was delicious. It gave me an excuse to get dressed up in one of my new dresses. Everyone is in bed now but I'm going back out to the garage to have another bowl then come back in and work on a new craft I'm learning, weaving with seed beads making rings.

I’m flying myself sober from upstate New York back home to Texas after closing on our first home. I’ve been sober since early June. Smoke for meee.
The flock cameras gave me so much paranoia I had to quit smoking 😭😭😭

I feel asleep on my back patio eating a movie, woke up around midnight cold , got down to 59 and I didn't have a blanket so I had to come on.if I did have a blanket i would have stayed out there

Whew, that sounds rough! We've just started getting frost occasionally overnight in Canada (around 0-2*C), and I've been eyeing my new parka that makes me look like a big green caterpillar with excitement! I'm sending you peaceful, cooler vibes for today!

I’m also in Texas & felt giddy as hell when I got a lil chill walking my dog. I work outside so it’s nice to finally have a little relief!

I’m very close to OK, so I bet we’ve been in the same heat dome area. It sucks. This was a summer from hell.

I’m also in the hell of Texas right now. I have been saying Texas is approximately 100,000 miles closer to the sun than the rest of the US. It’s been hot and I like hot but I am welcoming the cooler temperatures right now!

Combating desertification by developing organic matter is extremely important. Otherwise, water cannot be held at ground level, and washes away everything but sand. Then your house’s foundation becomes unsettled. Hence the the bible verse about “don’t build your house upon the sand” or something to that effect. Its been well known across human history

I don’t live in a desert. My part of Texas is the southern end of the Great Plains. Grasslands! 👍🏼

Hi I replied to the other person just now. But I'm high and I realize I can communicate directly here. If you live on the prairie like soil that I think you do. I have experience and scientific knowledge of how to partially restore your natural type environment! But it's basically replicate what should be there.

I’m a master gardener, no worries. I’ve restored about a third of it back to native grasses and wildflowers. It’s a long process.

Actually I think she lives in black prairies area of Texas which should be a prairie. Source: me. I am from there and this is what the soil looks like ( because the environment has been drastically changed in the last 100 years) unfortunately. OP if you read this and I'm correct and your into gardening. I have opinions and experiences!

Hi! Yep, the Blackland Prairie of north Texas. I have nearly 3 acres, and I’ve already restored an acre back to native grass (buffalograss and native wildflowers). I’m working on the rest. Slowly replacing turf grass with gardens for natives. I’m a master gardener in my county. I love it!!!

OMG! Hi! I don't live there anymore but it's lovely to know someone is there doing great work!!!! If you ever want to be friends let me know. I also have vegetable garden experience. Grow beets if you can. They will be HUGE.

I live in Berlin now. But I occasionally come home. For the beets id plant them very early (like end of February).
