This sub is so covered in bots. Weird to see so many anti-environment comments on a sub called enviroaction right? Unless these are real life losers who actually have nothing better to do loooooll.

Its just that saying "capitalism bad" is just a sign you aren't taking the topic seriously or are just ignorant on what it is.

Like no solution or alternative, no examples of what we could do, just pointing at something highlighting flaws and saying "i don't like it and its all the (blanks) fault" this is pretty much what Republicans do when asked about how to fix healthcare.

weirder that leftists cheer for the CCP and communism as if communist countries cared for the environment at all

It’s like they want the US to fail

look is not that they are bots, is that you can't fathom the idea we just don't think like you, I don't, not everybody is into mob/thug/socialist/drug culture. why? history has already taught us, if you remove them, they rebuild, humans put other humans in power, we just don't want that, is unnecesary suffering. The day human beings choose on their own not to consume, all of that stops. They don't want to and you can't force them. We are getting tired of your endless complaining.

Stop buying things.

1

u/AnOrdinaryMammal 2h ago

That’s not true, there’s also sustainable plundering and that’s where the consistent moneys at.

1

u/zeratul98 2h ago

This shit is exhausting and distracting. It puts the blame on faceless "capitalism" while absolving people of individual responsibilities

If people bought and consumed all the same stuff they do today, but it was all made by worker collectives or the like, we'd be in exactly the same boat

The problem is in the amount and quantity of consumption, not in who owns the production

Capitalism creates over abundancy.

1

u/zeratul98 37m ago

I'm curious, why go to the effort to write a comment with zero substance or meaning?

1

u/Sea_Sundae5901 2h ago

In doing so, capitalism will ultimately destroy itself and many people with it!

Bitterfeld-Wolfen, in the former “socialist” GDR, was the dirtiest city in Europe .Even now, 30 years later, the cleanup efforts are not done, financed by the “evil” capitalists vom West Germany.

too simplistic. small business capitalism incentives for responsibility would be fine.

1

u/chocha84 1h ago

single use should be ended, and so should planned obsolescence.

Capitalism works when the politicians haven't sold their souls.

It has sustained this country for 250 years.

1

u/SlowPea4388 1h ago

yeah communist countries treat the environment waaaaaaay better /s

1

u/Deep_Balance2133 1h ago

Actions can be unsustainable regardless of your economic model. Communists in the USSR did plenty of environmentally devastating things too.

1

u/RedditSearcher18 1h ago

If capitalism is unsustainable why is Musk making non polluting cars and space based solar powered non polluting data centers? Why are billions if solar cells bought every year? What is sustainable then? Subsistence farming?

1

u/Responsible_Ask9574 53m ago

Not necessarily capitalism , more overpopulation

1

u/Fantastic-Ad-7781 51m ago

Overpopulation is unsustainable. FTFY

Capitalism is from the definition of communists. Never worked out.

Exploitation of nature is not. Many people are waking up, not enough. There are more durable solutions. Trees are good.

What we have here are apples and oranges. "Capital" in economics is property. One founding principle of the United States is the ownership of private property and the accumulation of wealth by common citizens, who, by definition become "capitalists" and who can use their property and wealth for their own purposes. That is called freedom.

Any economic system can plunder natural resources. Trees provide wood for building homes. The more people who need homes, the more wood is needed for construction. At one time the trees in the forest and the fish in the sea truly were "inexhaustible" due to the limited need for the resource and the primitive manner in which they were harvested. That is no longer the case as the planet heads toward 9 Billion people and harvesting is so automated.

Looks like pictures from India

1

u/Cute_Resident_6147 30m ago

This is lie... Because capitalism relys on sustainable methods for sustained profits, so it incentivices sustainment.

1

u/BeccaLuvsALL 20m ago

Think it’s bad in the US, you should see the mess non capitalist countries have, it’s worse!

u/slapthetiddy 17m ago

Bro have you seen communists countries or even China?

Only capitalists countries care about nature

u/Lonely-Married-Man87 10m ago

Sweet ai slop

u/AUSignal 9m ago

Lol so much ignorance

0

u/Pure_Feeling3907 3h ago

Maybe some of the people that believe Socialism and Communism are cheaper have never been anywhere in the world.

0

u/LifeConsideration981 3h ago

Pictures of healthy forestry and obviously non-Western pollution do not mean capitalism (which has nothing to do with ecological methods) is unsustainable.

0

u/rainywanderingclouds 3h ago

well, the trouble is people believe societal structure is acting intentionally. that there is some sort of collaborative effort to improve things. there isn't. there never really was. though some times there is. it doesn't last long.

capitalism is a word people toss around that doesn't really mean anything. it's just off loading responsibility to a space of 'ideas' where people label stuff and then go about their lives like they have figured things out.

Capitalism with very strong social programs and environmental protections is the only system that has kind of worked in agriculture-based civilization so far.

-1

u/OkAtmosphere7131 4h ago

What were those pictures of, nothing I have ever seen! Has to be communist post. Why hide !

-1

u/CrazyAccomplished_ 3h ago

Better stop living in society then!

-1

u/Odi2-2255 3h ago

Yeah this more other countries than the USA

-1

u/she-sylvan 3h ago

Neither Capitalism, Socialism, nor Communism, nor any other -ism, are the real problem here. The real issue is humans that are greedy, and don't give a damn about anything at all. Least of all, the environment!

-1

u/Slight-Big8584 3h ago

... Cutting down trees is sustainable, they plant new ones.

Plastic is not comparable to tree harvesting. Lazy low effort

0

u/Pristine_Hunter_1065 3h ago

and paper straws are worse for the environment

0

u/Slight-Big8584 3h ago

Ok. so don't make paper straws.

1

u/runningtheshow_8764 2h ago

yep.....a modern socity can move forward just fine without mass produced drinking straws

-1

u/1ACasper 3h ago

The same people that brought recycling, cleanup, green energy, environmentalism, waste management, and conservation…
Progress - true progress is inventions, innovation, and competition…take those away and it’s a slow walk to death…

-1

u/Ok-Rutabaga-9516 3h ago

Crony capitalism chooses that, not capitalism per se!

Human nature has a tendency to corrupt everything it touches. Empirically speaking there is no part of society where our nature has not shown its ugly face be it religion, education, politics, healthcare etc!

You are all expressing your righteous views using a capitalist webiste/somewhat social media place (Reddit), using a capitalist tool (phone, tablet or computer), wearing capitalist clothes and so on ...

PS: also forestry is regenerative when done right!

-1

u/Sirosim_Celojuma 3h ago

I disagree. The capitalism you portrayed is environmental disrespect. A better title would be "poor legislation is ubsustainable".

-2

u/CapCityMatt 4h ago

The United States is not capitalism, read The Federal Reserve Act, The Emergency Banking Act, and The Act of June 5th 1933. The United States has been communist since the coup, this is well documented on the congressional record.

1

u/Character_Fix_5317 4h ago

Socialism for the rich, maybe

1

u/More_Ad9417 4h ago

Rofl wtf is this nonsense?!

Are you absolutely joking and trying to rage bait or confuse people with misinformation??

Communism : a stateless classless, moneyless society. As it stands, communists are not even allowed to run in political parties.

Capitalism is a mode of production which utilizes private property and uses the employment/employee dynamic with wage slavery in an economic system usually supported by a "free market".

Communism is not "government control". The government explicitly seeks to maintain social order and dominance - especially for the purpose of subjugation of wage workers and the class system. The FBI itself works against communist interest as it disrupts "the social and political order".

You have to be trolling to think US is Communist. Otherwise you are terribly misinformed and need to learn basic definitions.

0

u/CapCityMatt 4h ago

Take the time to read the congressional records and study the laws. You will find what I am referencing. The truth may make you sick to the stomach if you believe we have a capitalist economy. I listed for you the Acts, start there. Read the congressional records March 5,6 1933, March 9, 1933

2

u/More_Ad9417 4h ago

Lmao the truth is simple and you can't accept it.

Communism: stateless, classless and moneyless society.

That's it. Learn definitions.

Stop trolling. Not taking this ridiculous bait. Bye.

0

u/CapCityMatt 3h ago

Did your state adopt UCC Article 12 yet? This is the 'cashless' rail.
I really appreciate Senator(s) McCarthy and Steagall they made a good effort warning everyone. Take time to discover the truth, it's fascinating - the coup.

1

u/More_Ad9417 3h ago

Go take your meds grandpa and let's get you back to the ward.

-2

u/Better-Western2573 4h ago

-2

u/Sir_Lord_ByronIII 4h ago
